“So! You need help with that or should I prepare us breakfast?”

You sighed contentedly as you resumed folding your clothes, rolling your shoulders before answering, “That would be appreciated, thank you”.

The mornings when the both of you have nothing else to do have always been one of your favorite days, just the quiet warmth of your achieved happiness, something you fought to keep through working on yourself, same with the very person who is currently helping you maintain it.

“What are we thinking for movie night? been feeling like horror lately, but we can rewatch something specific if you think of something”

Humming in thought, you continue folding clothes, shared wardrobe reminding you that you are not alone, no longer forced to destroy yourself to feel alive because no one else would listen. “Well, it’s not like movie nights end after one film, we can think about it as we go”.

Laughter comes out, filling your shared home with life that you never thought you deserved. These moments, simple and ‘disgustingly loving’ as others have said, are the moments you cherish most, for these are what you imagined when the word ‘Impossible’ was uttered before.

“Oh! I finished my pile, do you want me to prepare us warm drinks before helping with your remaining load?”

Blinking, you realize that you’ve been spacing out this whole time out of pride and joy, you look up to meet the face that you can only hope to find everyday you wake up.

“Yes please, thank you….really, glad you’re here”.

“Mhm! don’t mention it, we’re partners right? this is the least I can do to spend time with you, it’s not supposed to be a ‘chore’, yeah?”

At that, you chuckled before evening your breath, overwhelmed, disbelieving, and thankful that you found someone who gave you the ‘impossible’ and the ‘boring’ life that your broken mind and soul whispered you don’t deserve.
