My courier is Sam, a young woman who trained as a medic, but also accepts courier work on the side to supplement her income/explore the rest of what used to be the US.
Sam’s on the short side, around 5’5”, with red hair she bleached blonde using pre-war chemicals she’d found. She’s usually pretty relaxed and easygoing, but it doesn’t take much to piss her off, and once she is, it takes awhile to cool off. In spite of this, she makes friends easily with basically anyone who doesn’t wear a buncha sports equipment.
While she prefers to avoid combat, she’s skilled at long range with her sniper rifle. She’s wholly for the NCR to hold the Dam and the Mojave, and offers assistance wherever she goes.
I usually pair her with Boone, but I’m open to pretty much any male who isn’t a Legionaire!

Who said ‘I love you’ first?
Definitely Sam. Boone is more of a “show love through actions” kind of person. He’s very nervous about being in love again and would take awhile to build up the courage for him to say it. But, once he does, he slowly becomes more casual about it. If Sam’s fine with it of course.
What was their first date like? (Or what do they consider their first date?)
This depends heavily on who you ask and how they get together. Boone might consider the first time they go out and fight legionaries together after confessing to each other a date tbh. But, if it's a planned date they’d probably do something simple. Sam seems like she wouldn’t want to do anything super fancy, and Boone is the same way. I imagine they might go and get a drink somewhere like Prospector Saloon or some other local bar.
Do they live together? If so, who does what chores?
I’m assuming Sam and Boone travel together pretty often. Boone would prefer to do a lot of maintenance on their shared stash of weapons and (if Sam wouldn’t mind) her’s too. His love language is acts of service and it shows a lot when splitting up the chores. If Sam let him he’d probably try to do everything tbh. The only thing he can’t do is cook.
What are some of their pet peeves with each other? (Ex. Phineas drinks milk straight from the bottle while standing in front of the fridge, Kenna never puts her clothes away, etc)
This is kind of minor but Boone snores really loud. Also, if he takes first watch, sometimes he won’t wake Sam up so she can continue sleeping so he stays up all night. Boone loves Sam's temper, but sometimes it worries him that she might pick a fight with the wrong person.
Who is the mature, sensible one?
Boone is more mature, but he’s kind of a dumbass. He’s sensible in a practical way, but that’s about it.
Who is the fun, spontaneous one?
What do their friends/family think of them?
Boone doesn’t have much of a family, but Manny is happy to see Boone with someone. I imagine the rest of the companions would be pretty supportive. Though sometimes they wonder how Sam got with Boone, because in their eyes talking to him is similar to talking to a brick wall.
Biggest most romantic gesture one has made for the other?
In Boone’s eyes the biggest romantic gesture possible is asking someone to marry him. If Sam is someone who would be interested in that of course. It would take years of being in a relationship before he’d ask, but if he does it would be very romantic.
What about PDA (public displays of affection)? Do they only ever hold hands or stand close, at ease in each other’s personal space or do they make out in full view of everyone?
Boone does not do PDA. He can hide it pretty well, but internally he blushes like a 6th grader whenever Sam does something as simple as holding his hand. Though, when in Freeside or a town that is kind of sketchy, he prefers to walk almost shoulder to shoulder to Sam. "For protection."
Do either of them get jealous? (Of close friends/amicable exes/anyone who is nice?)
Boone doesn’t get jealous often. Unless someone was very obviously flirting with Sam and she decided to flirt back for some reason then he’s pretty calm. Even then he’s more confused than jealous. Though sometimes he might feel a little jealous if Sam is laughing/having an very loud good time with someone. Hes more of an insecure person than a jealous person tbh. Sam would very rarely have an opportunity to be jealous, if she’s the jealous type. Boone’s very good at warding off any unwanted flirting by giving them a deadpan stare.
