What made things so awful for Villain was that every day was different.
If Supervillain came in a couple of times a day, fucked them, and left, things would be different. Tolerable. A routine Villain could adhere to.
But Supervillainâs ever changing demands were starting to get to Villainâs sanity.
While Villain was good at being able to put on a show, it was getting harder day by day. There were times that they slipped up; once, they let a plea slip when they were supposed to act willing. Another time, they almost broke down in tears when they were supposed to be defiant and stoic, and they had to collect themselves before Supervillain noticed. If he hadnât already.
It was only a month after Heroâs release that Villain finally snapped.
Supervillain had Villain in one of their least favorite roles: domestic. They were expected to act with zero fear, zero hatred, zero defiance. They had to behave as if when Supervillain returned from his duties, they were greeting their spouse after their day of work. It was nearly impossible, but for their own sake, Villain had figured it out.
And they did, in the beginning. Supervillain entered his office where Villain was kept, gave a quick âspouse,â and unlocked the cage. Like clockwork, Villain stood up and kissed Supervillain on the lips to greet them. They didnât stretch their limbs like they wanted to. They didnât dash for the door. Their hands didnât constrict around that awful manâs neck. Instead, they settled on his hips and pulled him closer. âWelcome home, babe.â
They were in Supervillainâs quarters now, watching the news on his bed. Villain was curled up next to Supervillain, letting him play idly with their hair. Theyâd rather be chained up and beaten. At least they were allowed to wear clothes this time around. Even if they knew theyâd be losing them soon enough.
Supervillain had been blissfully silent for the most part, but he suddenly decided to turn down the volume a bit on the television.
âYâknow, I think about them sometimes,â Supervillain murmured. âHero.â
Villainâs throat tightened. They took the risk of saying nothing.
âI wonder how theyâre managing to survive out there. If at all,â Supervillain continued. âThey could be dead. Itâs possible no one found them and helped them. Very possible, in fact. Broken bones take a while to heal.â
Villain simply nodded, swallowing the dryness in their throat.
âI think about the time we spent together, too. Before you bailed them out.â Supervillain sighed wistfully. âGod, they were fun. They had thisâŚbite. Figuratively and literally.â He chuckled. âThey actually almost managed to escape once, early on. Had to paralyze them for a bit after that.â
Get to the point. Please god get to the point and stop talking about them.
âAnd yeah, that was fun and all. But you wanna know my favorite moment with them?â Supervillain grinned, turning his head to look at Villain. He knew exactly what he was fucking doing.
Supervillain laughed again. Nails on a chalkboard. âThe switch.â
Villain furrowed their eyebrows. âW-WhatâsâŚâ
âItâs the moment they realized what I really wanted them for.â Supervillain sat up and maneuvered himself to straddle Villainâs hips.
âAll I had to do was hold them down, just like thisâŚâ He pushed Villain down by their shoulders, now towering over them and casting a dark shadow over their whole body.
âTouch them right hereâŚâ
Villain winced at the sudden pressure on their crotch.
âAnd it was night and day,â Supervillain whispered, almost giddy. âAll the hate turned to fear. The fire in their eyes turned to tears. Because of me. Because of what I was about to do to them. What I was about to take from them.â
Supervillainâs hand slipped under Villainâs waistband. He leaned down to whisper into their ear.
âThey were so pathetic and weak. And god, I loved it.â
Villain stared fearfully into Supervillainâs eyes, knowing full well it wasnât the expression he wanted from them. They both knew.
âDonât you agree, Villain?â Supervillain sneered. âSay it. Tell me how pathetic Hero is.â
Villain had to close their eyes. It was too much. âIâŚI agreâAGH, FUCK!â
Supervillain released his grip. He wasnât smiling anymore. âLook at me. Look at me and say it, mutt.â
Villain whimpered and forced their eyes open. âI-I agree! I agree with you, I always do, Iââ
âNope. Youâre not listening,â Supervillain growled. âIâll make it easy for you, idiot. Repeat after me: âHero is a pathetic little bitch.â You got that? Need me to repeat it?â
Villain gritted their teeth, breathing heavily through them. Calm down, remember what youâre here for. Donât let him get to you.
âCome on, you can do it. âHero is a pathetic little bitch whoâs only good for getting fucked.â Go ahead, Villain, you know itâs true! My spouse would never disagree with me, would they?!â
Donât listen to him, just say it. Theyâre just words.
Supervillainâs grip returned, tightening with each word.
âHeroâŚisâŚaâŚpatheticâŚâ
âYOU FUCKING BITCH!â Villainâs hands went for Supervillainâs throat, and with surprising strength, they were able to knock them onto their back. They squeezed as hard as they could with one hand and reeled back the other in a fist.
Before it could make impact, before Villain could even blink, they felt themselves get flung across the room into the wall. They fell to the floor with a thud. They tried to get up, but they realized with horror that they couldnât move their body.
âI knew it,â Supervillain said, standing up from his bed and circling around it to stand in front of Villain. âI knew you werenât cut out for this. Iâve noticed you slipping for quite a while now. I was wondering just how much Iâd need to do to break you.â He knelt down before them. âTurns out, all I needed to do was say a couple of silly words.â
He reached forward and moved strands of Villainâs hair out of their face to see their frozen, terrified expression. He sat in thought for a long stretch before sighing.
âAlright, hereâs the plan.â Supervillain lifted Villain by the hair and threw their limp body back on the edge of his bed. âIâm gonna fuck you one more time, âcause Iâm in the mood. Then Iâll kill you, since you canât live up to your promise. After that, Iâll start tracking your team down. Every last one of them. And if Heroâs still out there, Iâll be sure to pick them up too.â
Supervillain turned Villain onto their back, spreading their dangling legs and standing in between them. âThat isâŚunless you can be what I need from you. Right now, with no more mistakes.â He raised an eyebrow. âYou ready?â
Supervillain lifted his powers from Villainâs body, and they finally had control again. And even though they could move freely now, do whatever they wantâŚthey did what they had to instead.
âIâm sorry baby, you were right.â Villain sat up and reached up to caress Supervillainâs cheek. âHero really is a pathetic little bitch. I knew it the whole time I had them. I couldâve done anything to them, and they wouldnât have been able to do anything to protect themselves.â
Supervillain smirked. âYeah? What gave it away?â
âI mean, I couldnât even look at them without shrinking back in fear. I could tell that all they ever had on their mind was you.â Villain leaned in and kissed Supervillain softly on the lips. They giggled. âThat worthless slutâs probably rotting in an alley somewhere, and Iâll bet they still think about you.â
Supervillain laughed. âJeez, you really wanna protect those fuckers, donât you?â He shook his head amusedly and flipped Villain back onto their stomach. âNice save, mutt.â
Villain was glad they were on their stomach this time. They could make all the noises they had to, but they didnât know if they could hold back their tears. Thankfully, the bedsheets did a great job of soaking them up.
