About the blog
Hi, I'm some random human, addicted to the news, specificially to NPR for a few reasons. You'll almost never hit a paywall for any of their content (the exception being some of their bonus content for podcasts), their long form reporting and investigative journalism is top tier, and they often provide fairly balanced views speaking both with everyday people and experts in the field. On a web where deep fakes, artificially generated articles, misinformation, and conspiracy theories spread like wildfire, it can be hard to tell reputable news from fakes. As more and more people are getting news from sites like TikTok I'm concerned about the spread of misinformation. So this blog is dedicated to putting what I think are some of NPR's (and PBS's, when I have the time to watch it) best stories out onto the internet (aka, me screaming facts into the void and hoping I drown out some of the misinformation). I don't listen to all their podcasts, so you're getting my own personal bias. If you don't want that, you could always just download the NPR One app or head to their website and start listening yourself... but that's just a thought!
Please keep in mind:
The views in NPR podcasts expressed are those of that of the podcast hosts. They don't always align perfectly with my own views.
I'm not here to discredit any particular news source, simply here to share news from a reliable organization.
NPR is an American organization, it's naturally going to be biased based on that.
