i can't bear witness

i know people say evermore is the sadder of folkmore albums but for me it's so optimistic. this pain wouldn't be for evermore. there'll be happiness after you. but you'll find the real thing instead. yes, I'm doing better. I wasn't letting up until the day he died. and if you're ever tired of being known for who you know, you know, you'll always know me. now I'm covered in you. with your boots beneath my bed forever is the sweetest con. long story short, I survived. you're alive, you're alive in my head. I know better but I still feel you all around. sometimes, walkin' out is the one thing that will find you the right thing. like yes it's sad but it's also optimistic about future. hopeful! i'm sad now but i see light in the future. the sadness won't be forever!!!!!!

thinking about the "give me back my girlhood, it was mine first" to eldest daughter pipeline. "i thought that i'd never find that beautiful, beautiful life that shimmers that innocent light back like when we were young" :/
