I genuinely cannot stand these people who come in and "critique" the Amazing Digital Circus and act as if they're somehow above Gooseworx. Every time, they sound like smug fucking know-it-alls who are somehow above all us lowly commoners because they disliked an indie show on the internet.

Like, at what point does it become, "I hate the show because of blah blah blah" to "I hate this trans person who managed to be more popular because I'm a jealous transphobe who wants attention"? Because let's not beat around the bush, a big majority of them hate Goose because they're a trans person who managed to be more popular than them and that's it. The ones that pretend to be allies but immediately turn around and call the people they are supposedly defending from the big scary Gooseworx various slurs for disagreeing with them are hilarious. Their true face always rears itself eventually. It's inevitable.

I have not seen a single video that "criticizes" this show that didn't resort to people acting like smug, condescending assholes, or making passive aggressive comments towards Gooseworx because they can't help themselves from letting the transphobia slip through, or demonstrating they have the media literacy of a dead cockroach in a rest stop bathroom because they don't understand subtly in storytelling. It's all a bunch of commentary channels circle jerking and parroting each other because they think they're the "right ones" and that this somehow makes them better than an indie creator they harassed.

Sometimes, something genuinely isn't for you. Hell, I'll admit it, The Amazing Digital Circus wasn't for me. This isn't me trying to pull a "you gotta have a pretty high IQ to understand Rick and Morty", but god does it really feel like some of the morons who go after this show collectively have an IQ number that's somehow even lower than the room temperature of fucking Antarctica.

X spends the next month and a half torturing Alan far more severely or something to get over the sheer embarrassment of it(literally no one else saw it go down, but X feels utterly humiliated).

Like Jesus Christ, the moment you begin acting meta, you immediately take me out of the damn moment. The entire time I was going, "I could be playing the original game right now, I could be playing a good game right now".

And when it isn't chucking these at you, it's actively not letting you engage with them outside of being something for you to point at. Like the original area where James fights the Lying Figure? Can't enter, it's just there to remind you of the original game(have a goddamn musical cue and everything). They instead have you fight it elsewhere and completely remove what made James' first scuffle with a monster in Silent Hill memorable.

The original scene has James climb through a gap in the barricaded tunnel to get the radio, he turns it on and it immediately begins going apeshit, and only then does he notice the chewing. He looks over and sees the Lying Figure eating a corpse and it in turn notices James. The camera specifically focuses on him rapidly blinking as if he can't believe what he's seeing. There's even a cutscene after James kills it where he nudges it and wonders what the hell it is.

Remake James doesn't do this, there isn't a moment of him struggling to comprehend the Lying Figure as it begins to approach him.
