Stupidly attached to the idea that Scotch once gave Rye a guitar pick and Shuuichi holds onto it to this day. Going to branch out a little this time :3 so for the character ask game I'm asking to know more about Susie deltarune :3
Susie my belovedā¦ not all answers will make 100% sense without knowing the context, but this should give you a good idea of who she is! :3
Why I like her:
In terms of favorites, sheās right up there with Haibara. They honestly have similar character arcs too (and Iām not afraid to say that Susieās is written much better, even if Haibās is already great). Susie starts out as the mean girl. Sheās violent and a loner, until circumstance forces her to work together with people and befriend them. But even after she warms up to those new friends and becomes openly kinder, she doesnāt lose her bold, loud personality. Sheās a masc lesbian (even uses the very masculine pronoun āoreā for herself in japanese, which is incredibly rare for female characters), extremely silly, shows up for her friends when they need her, doesnāt take bullshit from anyone, her backstory and character arc are beautifully writtenā¦ seriously, deltarune is far from finished, but sheās had such enormous development already. Her flaws and emotions feel so real and relatable, and the delivery of them is on point. I could go into detail with all of this, but then weād be here all dayā¦
Why I donāt like her:
Some of the bullying she used to do was pretty nasty, even if Kris is obvs friends with her now. I do think itās gonna get addressed down the line, even if she already has made up for it imo!
Favorite episode/scene:
udgfjdh how am I supposed to pick oneā¦ probably the small church section halfway through chapter 4 where she writes down Gersonās letter? Or her crashout against Ralsei in ch4. Or when she saves Kris from dying by the knights blade in ch4. Or the moment in ch4 where sheā

Deltarune works in chapters, and Susie is definitely my favorite in chapterā¦ you guessed it, 4. Itās packed with absolutely insane development and emotional moments

Hm.. suselle or krusieā¦ I donāt wanna choose one over the other. I think that krusie feels more impactful because they get a lot more time and development together (lots of suselle development likely coming with the next chapter) but.. I guess because I donāt care about the romantic vs platonic aspect of krusie, Iām gonna go with suselle after all, who is mostly focused on the romance? Theyāre literally so cute. Lesbians will always be so important to me <3 but even if the story hasnāt really tapped into it yet, thereās so much potential for conflict and character growth in suselle! Susieās accidental nonchalance for Dessā room/things/especially her guitar allowed Noelle to feel comfortable in the context of something that usually only brings misery and anger. Iām excited to see how things unfold, such as Noelleās role in the prophecy and how that affects Susie, their dynamic in the weird route, their discrepancies regarding a ānormalā Kris, etcā¦ oh and theyāre literally so hilarious. Lie/Lie about Susiezilla, eating the rose in front of Noelle, them trying to catch the soul togetherā¦ I canāt wait for the festival (it will go so horribly wrong) <3
Brotp:
Her with Ralsei! Their personalities and the prophecy make it easy for them to clash. That has already happened and will happen again, in likely catastrophic scale next time, but they still manage to push through and own up to their own mistakes because they care so much about the other, which highlights their respective character growth <333 honorable mention is her and Lancer, Lancer just isnāt that relevant anymore
Headcanon:
Basic, but that she grew up in a town full of humans, hence the animosity as she tried to play the public piano
Unpopular opinion:
While I understand peopleās concern over Susie yelling at Carol that sheāll take Noelle to the festival, I donāt think itāll have (or had, who knows how the kitchen talk went) as bad of a consequence as they sometimes make it out to be. I donāt think thatās a very unpopular opinion but I donāt really have any of those regarding Susie. Everyone knows sheās awesome and the best character ever <3
A wish:
The narrative is kinda setting it up, but for Susieās healing spell to gain greater combat importance (and obviously for Ralseiās offensive spell to simultaneously do the same)

In celebration of the premiere of the 26th Detective Conan movie,Ā āBlack Iron Submarine,ā the official YouTube channel posted a cover of the 60th TV ending theme,Ā āSissy Sky" by Ai Haibaraās voice actress, Megumi Hayashibara, sung as her character. The ending theme of course, is themed around Haibara, as is the most recent movie.
The original video on YouTube is region-locked and appears to be only available for a limited time only until May 7, so hereās a mirror.
The official Twitter announcement included a message from Haibara herself:
Congratulations on the release of the anime-based movie,Ā āDetective Conan: The Black Iron Submarine,ā as well as File 1111 of the original manga.
This is the one year where I canāt be in hiding too, so Iām even doing my best to move around as much as I can.
While making an effort, I was able to experience recording a cover for the first time.
I was very nervous, but the entire staff was kind, and moreover, the original artist of the song, Airi Miyakawa, even came to support me, which made me very happy.
You might say, that I did this to prevent Edogawa-kun from singing, rightā¦? Haha.
