Kimishinu opening it's first chapter with blatant transphobia is so wild I'm surprised but also not really surprised that himejoshis just glossed over this when talking about their favorite "toxic yuri (tm)."
Like, I don't care that the school nurse character is supposed to be the evil one using all these childrens as tools of war (and to give some sort of credit, she's not yet portrayed as a transphobic stereotype beyond name-calling, and she's properly gendered by literally everyone else), seeing one of the two main characters constantly call her a man doesn't make me grow attached to her and honestly I want Mimi to get sent away in battle and just fucking die off.
I'm already at the third volume and this "joke" has happened a few times early on. If this continues I'm going to drop this fucking manga.
Wow! I'm SO glad they decided to animate this scene for the first episode ans everyone that seems to be watching this shit just ignores it because trans women have no place in yuri amirite???
