Last month we had our team building and as part of introduction, we were asked about our hobbies. I wanted to say that I have none except for doomscrolling TikTok and Instagram Reels. I don’t have a hobby. Do I really have one or am I just pretending to have one? I read nowadays. I started to read again last month and successfully finished 3 books but would I consider it a hobby if I’m just an occasionally reader? I also do running before but after my Pulag hike, I stop because what’s the point? And it’s already raining, plus I keep on making excuses, lots of it so what now? Anyway, in the end, I just said that I am into reading (though not consistent) and watching movies and series. I guess I am still seeking for a perfect and interesting hobby that will keep me motivated and consistent. Maybe going to the gym? (Who the fuck am I kidding here?!)

It’s devastating to realize how much I used to relate myself to Taylor Swift’s mirrorball before. How I keep on trying to shape myself just to be the person they wanted me to be or expected me to, to fit in as said in the song. But now, as I listen this afternoon, I keep on shaking my head as I internalize the lyrics — I’m not a mirrorball anymore! Naisip ko na kaya I have few friends kasi I can’t keep connection. Kung hindi ka magri-reach out sakin or mage-effort to ask how am I or what’s going on in my life, hindi ko rin gagawin yun sayo. And hindi rin ako yung tipo ng tao na magtatanong for life update from time to time. Tapos pag inaaya ako ng catch up, since hindi na tayo nagkikita or nagkakausap recently, hindi na rin ako pupunta or I’ll never plan about it kasi there’s no reason na to keep up with each other’s life; awkward and what for? At the first place, hindi ko talaga kayang maging stay connected all the time. Kung sino yung mga taong nakakasama ko pa din until now, sila yung mga taong gumagawa ng paraan para maging connected pa din kami kaya I did the same thing to them.

Minsan nalulungkot ako kasi madami akong namimiss na tao and na-realize ko na I lose them for a reason. Or maybe gina-gaslight ko na lang sarili ko kasi alam ko na ganito talaga ako as a person. Naiintindihan ko din naman kung bakit yung iba they stop reaching out na kasi sino ba naman ako, right? Anyway, I will try harder to keep anyone who decided to stay. I will give back their energy. Yun na lang.

Every summer hindi mawawala sa soundtrip ko yung Highschool Playlist ko. Nakasanayan ko na mag reminisce every summer ng best part of my life which is yung HS days ko. Super saya even bakasyon kasi ang active ko and ng mga friends ko kaya lagi kaming may ganap even summer break. Naalala ko din yung mga crushes ko. Yes, “mga” kasi malandi ako e. Charot!! Pero oo, madami sila ante. Anyways, sana paggising ko bukas HS ulit ako, pwede ba yun? Ayaw ko na dito. Hahahahaahha
