Wendy finds themselves doing a lot of mindless hookups, especially when they are bored. They have a tendency to keep a wall up and often bounce when the other person gets a little bit too attached.

Film photography is their one true love, but film is expensive. They want to constantly shoot, one day they hope they can carry a decent film camera with them everywhere. For now they bounce between an old film camera they found long forgotten in their house and a cheap digital camera they saved up to buy. 

They love their family to death, but their family is kind of loud and emotional- which can be a lot at times. Lately they have gotten very tired of pretending to be interested in being a lumberjack and like to avoid going home because of that.

Sam’s entire body began to warm up when Wendy slide their hand down to touch the fishnets on her legs. Her breath of caught in her throat for a moment and all she could do was gaze into Wendy’s eyes. She knew she had a smile on her face already and felt so foolish that it only grew as Wendy spoke. Sam couldn’t help it though. Wendy was amazing and every time she saw them her heart beat was a little faster and she couldn’t help but feel warm and happy. Her cheeks were surely tinted pink by now and Sam pressed one more kiss to Wendy’s lips, letting her lips linger on theirs for a moment before pulling away. “Yes, pasta, please. And then we can definitely return to this later.”

Wendy slowly pulls their hand away from Sam’s fishnets and smiles. “Can’t wait.” They turn and call to Mina. “Bye Mina! I’ll have them home by eleven!” Wendy holds an arm out for Sam to grab and walks towards the door. “Pastabilities should be a short walk from here. I’m pretty sure.” The first time Sam invited Wendy over, they scoped the area for any decent date spots. It was only natural they get a lay of the land. The amazing Corduroy sense of direction doesn’t hurt either. Wendy and their brothers could find the way around the forest from the moment they could all walk. They open Sam’s door and hold it open for them. “After you ma’am,” they say with a fake serious voice.

Sam can’t help but feel flattered despite how much she tried to seem nonchalant and brushing it off. “I mean, I did brush my hair so that helps.” She let out a soft laugh. “Now, don’t tempt me with a good time,” she teases and leans up. “Thank you,” she says and grabs their hand. Another laugh escapes her lips then she shook her head. “I’ll be fine. I’ve endured worse weather in less clothing. Besides, I have you to keep me warm.” Sam can’t resist any longer and closes the space between them, pressing her lips to Wendy’s. Her hand tightens around theirs, lacing her fingers through Wendy’s. She can’t help but to press her chest against theirs and wrap her free arm around their neck. After she finally pulled away she rested her forehead against theirs. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t wait for that any longer.” Their eyes lock with Wendy’s and a smiles forms on their lips. “You make me really happy, Wendy,” Sam admitted. “I’m glad I walked into your job that day.”

From the moment Sam opened the door, Wendy had to restrain themselves from kissing her. When they feel Sam against them, they immediately fell into the kiss. They bring their free hand up and brush against the fishnets before settling on their hip. They pull Sam close and slide their hand back down to the fishnets. “Don’t apologize, I totally had to restrain myself too.” They stare at Sam’s lips as she smiles then meets her eyes when Sam talks. “Sam, wow.” They beamed at her. “You make me happy too. I keep finding reasons to see you. “You coming in to refill your incense was the best thing to happen to me at work in like, forever.” Wendy smiles at Sam and wiggles the fingers resting on her thigh. “I really dig these fishnets though. The whole outfit really.” They lean in and kiss Sam again slowly. “So, pasta time? I mean, only if we can come back to this later.”

“My resolutions?” Pausing her mindless scrolling, the question asked something that Pacifica hadn’t considered yet. She didn’t bother making promises for the new year because she was very confident (and privileged) she’d make them happen: If she wanted to try horseback riding, her parents would get her a horse the very next day and with the Northwest driving spirit, she’d make it into and win an equestrian championship. By a simple wanting and wishing, she’d bring on challenge that wasn’t so much as a challenge but rather a chore on her to-do list for the day and move onto whatever came next. Since she craved a conversation at all rather than viewing yet another meaningless post on social media, she’d entertained the idea of a resolution. “I guess I could make Pantone change their color of the year to my signature purple, get a feature in a magazine, and finally perfect the optimal posting time for maximum likes and views. What about you?”

The only reason Wendy even approached Pacifica in the first place was for fuel to tease Mabel with later. They had started to assume Mabel was exaggerating about how awful she was. They weren’t actually sure if Pacifica knew who they were but they could stomach talking to this conversation in the name of teasing Mabel. They could do this. So they approached Pacifica without any introduction, leading in with the only question they could think of. Wendy was already way too excited to tell Mabel about this later. “Woah dude, those are... intense. You do stuff like that often?” Wendy pauses before answering back. They hadn’t actually thought about this. “I don’t usually do resolutions. I think they’re kind of lame. But if we’re playing this game, I’d like to work on having some of my photography published. Or even just like, show it to people. I’m flexible.” They lean against the nearest wall and gaze at the party around them. “Pretty slow start to the party. Has anyone spiked the punch yet?”

Sam can’t resist the urge to laugh a bit as Wendy all but yells excitedly into their ear. She listens as Wendy rambles off multiple food choices. “I don’t really eat most of those things,” she admitted. “Although it sounds like you have your heart set on pasta. I do happen to enjoy pasta.” She smiles at Wendy. Looking at them made her heart pump faster. Her eyes glanced towards Wendy’s lips but then quickly up to their eyes. Sam was snapped out of their thoughts when Wendy spoke again. “Oh, god. I’m literally in sweatpants. Yes, I would like time to change. I told you, I don’t get many visitors.” She froze again for a moment, her breath getting caught in her throat, when Wendy placed their hand on her cheek. She then moved aside from the doorway to let them in, feeling slightly foolish not to have already considering it was cold. “You should know by now you can just come in.” Sam closes the door behind them, shivering slightly from the gust of wind. “I’ll be right back.” She went off to her room, digging quickly through her closet to find something suitable for whatever Wendy had planned. She settled on a black dress she had with fishnets underneath. It was a bit cold but she’d be fine. She fondly recalls the multiple times she’s gone to concerts and waiting outside in the colder months or in the middle of summer with the sun beating on her. After throwing some eyeliner on and fixing her hair she grabbed her jacket and put her boots on. Once they returned to the other room and saw Wendy they stopped and smiled. Mina was cautiously walking towards Wendy and stopped at their feet. After a moment the cat rubbed against their leg and Sam couldn’t help but feel…warm inside. “I told you she would warm up. You’re irresistible.”

“Maybe I have to be invited in, you know, like a vampire.” Wendy winks at Sam and watches after them as they leave to get ready. The second Sam is out of sight Wendy whips their phone out and double checks that the place they were thinking of had vegan pasta. No date of theirs was going to be limited to salad. They think about calling out to Sam to double check that she isn’t gluten free, but freeze when they see Mina slink around the corner. “Don’t fuck this up Corduroy.” They think to themselves. “Do what you do best and pretend not to give a shit. Well, to be fair you usually don’t give a shit, but this time you can prete- HOLY CRAP IT’S HAPPENING.” Wendy tries not to make any sudden moves to scare off Mina as the cat rubs against their leg. They can’t help but smile down at the cat. “What’s up, Mina?” They whisper. 

They turn with a smile towards Sam and immediately lose all ability to think. “Sam, I won’t lie to you. You look hot as hell.” Wendy keeps their eyes locked on Sam as they walk towards her. “Maybe staying in isn’t such a bad idea.” They step closer, their faces inches apart. “You look beautiful. I’m really digging these fishnets.” A stomach growl interrupts Wendy and they sigh. “Okay fine stomach. Pasta first.” They reach over and take Sam’s hand, leading them towards the door. “Are you going to be too cold?” They gesture to the fishnets. “This is a treat for me, but I don’t want you freezing to death.”

TIara was a little embarassed to be caught sneaking into a random treehouse. Without Peter it was both not as fun and quite frankly, she was less prepared. So she paused at the bottom of the tree, shuffling a little awkwardly before rubbing the back of her neck with her hand. “I mean…you;re alone up there, right?” She had wanted some peace and quiet in a place no one could find her easily, but this was the next best thing she thinks. “’Cause….you don’t have to be? If you umm…let me up there willingly?”

“Oh shit, yeah come on up. I couldn’t see anything so I thought you might be some creepy dude.” Wendy sets the small axe down next to their camera and move to help the person up the ladder. They lean over and offer a hand to the stranger. “I’m Wendy. Welcome to my super safe treehouse.” Wendy steps away from the entrance and shows the axe to their new arrival. “I do have an axe, but I may have exaggerated the size.” They set the axe over in the corner. Every good treehouse must have a worthy axe. That’s what their father always said. Doesn’t matter that this one only has a pocket axe. “So, what brings you to the treehouse?”

Sam had been editing videos pretty much all day for her channel online and decided she needed a break. After slipping out of her recording room she quickly closed the door so her cat wouldn’t get inside. She was not risking having the hyper kitten ruin any of her equipment. She had just collapsed onto her bed on her stomach when she heard a knock on the door. Not having a clue who it could be Sam groaned into a pillow and got back up. When she opened up the door she was pleasantly surprised to see Wendy standing there, wearing their best. Before Sam could even greet them they were quick with words. Sam had never really been the type to date. Not seriously at least. Sure, she’d had the odd partner here or there but was more into hookup culture, despite how cringey that could get at times. She couldn’t fight the urge to smile any longer when Wendy handed her the flowers. “You’re such a dork,” Sam finally said, the smile still on their face. They didn’t have to contemplate their answer because Sam already knew what their heart wanted. “I would love to go to dinner with you,” she finally said, leaning in to press a kiss to Wendy’s cheek.

“Sick!” Wendy yelled after they felt Sam place a kiss to their cheek. “Well, do you want to go now? We can wait but I’m starving anyway.” Wendy leans closer to Sam as they speak. “We could get whatever you want pasta, pizza, ramen, burgers, or... pasta.” They look at Sam and fight the temptation to lean in and kiss her. As much as they want that, goodness, they want that, Wendy doesn’t trust themselves to stay on task. They want to treat Sam tonight. Show them how much she means to them. “Do you need time to get ready?” Wendy leans in towards Sam. “You already look beautiful but I’ll go along with whatever you want.” They gently push the hair from Sam’s face, leaving their hand to rest on her cheek. “Can I come in?”

Wendy doesn’t really know how to ask someone that they are actually interested in on a date. If they dated at all, they were asked. All they had to do was agree and show up and make the best of it. That’s not how it works with Sam. Since the day they met Wendy started thinking of ways they could spend more time together. After doing extensive research (watching Love Actually a few times with their brothers) Wendy decided to ask the old fashioned way. They put on their finest suit jacket and tie and showed up to Sam’s apartment with a bouquet of black lilies. When Sam opened the door Wendy’s greeting didn’t quite make it out of her throat. They cleared it and tried again. “Hey, so, I was thinking we should go to dinner. On a date. Like an official one.” Wendy beamed at Sam, they couldn’t help themselves, and handed over the flowers. “Look, I even got you these. I’m not really sure how to do this, but yeah. Do you want to go to dinner with me?”

The old treehouse behind the house probably wasn’t safe anymore. That’s exactly why it was Wendy’s favorite place to hide. No one else would brave the deteriorating ladder to sit in some spider infested room. Wendy lay on their back, feet resting on the wall, eyes closed. It was quiet. They didn’t get much of that. A rustling noise interrupted their thoughts. They opened their eyes and slowly reached for their camera, hoping it was some animal they could snap a photo of. Their dad would love that. When they hear the sound of a person grunting, Wendy sighs. Dang, no chance of catching any animals today. Poking their head out of the window of the treehouse, Wendy squints down at the person below them. “Hey, this is private property. Don’t make me come down there with my big scary axe.”

“I don’t know,” Binx looked at the shot in his hand, “I just know that it’s a slippery slope with tequila shots and me.” The last time he had let himself indulge in tequila Binx lost about two days trying to recover from it, then again, he had also done a great deal of drinking without eating that particular night.  The little voice in his head was reminding him that he had agreed to let himself relax and indulge tonight, but he wasn’t sure if tequila was pushing it or not. His blue-green eyes, the colors that resembled the ones of mountains, looked from the shot over to the person whom had handed it to him, “I’m not going to let you take a shot by yourself, though, that’s just rude. My only two conditions are that you don’t make fun of my tequila  dance too much and if I end up getting too heavy handed with the tequila just make sure I fall asleep somewhere comfortable,” he laughed, bringing the tequila glass over to clink against the other’s glass, “cheers!” He throws the shot, doing the inevitable wiggle dance he always does at the first taste of liquor, but he’s surprised at how smooth the shot goes down. “Next round is on me, are you ready?”

Contrary to what people might think of them, Wendy didn’t actually like the bar that much. Sure, it had some great people watching opportunities, but at what cost? If they’re going to get drunk they’d prefer to be out in the woods. So here they are, taking tequila shots with a friend they just met tonight. Definitely tipsy. Wendy throws back the shot with ease and looks at Binx. Wendy pokes him in the chest and laughs, “listen Sir Binx, you know I’m down for another round. Just promise me you’ll say something if we start to go too far.” They look over at the bartender and request two waters before turning back. “Let’s make a bet. If someone yaks tonight, winner gets to pick the next spot. Assuming you’ll want to drink with me again after this.”

Sam held the small cat in their arms so the critter could sniff Wendy’s hand. After turning her nose up to Wendy she jumped out of Sam’s arms and zoomed away, the sound of paws running across the floor coming to a stop once the cat had found her place under Sam’s bed. “Like I said, no hard feelings. At least she didn’t scratch you. That’s a good sign. She’s still pretty young. I have like…the same three people here on occasion. So, she really only knows them.” Sam tucks a strand of her hair behind her ear as Wendy compliments their apartment. “Oh, thanks. I try to make it livable but still make it feel like me, I guess.” Sam shrugged casually. As Wendy spoke about their brothers and watching horror flicks with them Sam was trying to hold back a big smile. “That’s cute. I’m an only child so I’ve always been the odd one out in my family. I didn’t really have anyone to corrupt with scary movies other than my friends. We got ourselves into enough trouble though that not much scared us.” She was going to leave it at that because who the hell was going to believe the tales Sam could have shared about her, Danny, and Tucker’s adventures? 

“It doesn’t matter to me. You don’t see me wearing shoes. Whatever makes you most comfortable.” Sam couldn’t help but smirk at Wendy’s awful pickup lines. She knew the other wasn’t serious but Sam couldn’t deny that they were kinda into it though. Taking another step closer to Wendy she says, “if you wanted me to be in your arms all you had to do was ask.” Sam wraps their arms around Wendy’s neck and pressed a kiss to their lips. “I think we should do whatever feels right. Doesn’t have to be a movie.” She pressed another kiss to Wendy but this time on their jawline. “Right now kissing you feels right,” she says before pressing another kiss to their lips.

Wendy pulled Sam closer as they kissed them- heart soaring when Sam’s arms tighten around their neck. They pushed back, matching their intensity. Wendy takes their hands off of Sam’s hips and slides them up to her face. They hold Sam’s face, thumbs gently resting on their cheeks. Eventually Wendy breaks the kiss and pulls back from Sam, looking at her with a smirk on their face. “All I had to do was ask? This whole time?” They reach out and take a hold of Sam’s hand and begin to walk backward towards the couch. Wendy keeps eye contact while continuing to pull her along, giving no attempt to hide the want in their eyes. 

When they feel the couch hit the back of their legs they pause, slowly wrapping their arms around Sam’s waist. They stand flush against each other and Wendy smiles at her before quickly falling backwards on the couch and pulling Sam down with them. They look up at her and laugh quietly, “your move, Manson.”

The first words out of Wendy’s mouth made butterflies form in Sam’s stomach. “Yeah, it’s…really great to see you.” Sam wouldn’t deny having looked forward to when she would see Wendy again. The other’s flattery had Sam’s insides doing all sorts of twists and flips. She noticed Wendy checking her out and despite the relaxed expression she had managed to keep she knew her face had to be growing red. Her apartment practically screamed ‘Sam.’ Which was extra decked out because of the season. Fall candles among pumpkins and bats, Her furniture pretty much blended in with everything but the place still seemed nice. It was…dark, but cozy almost. Sam always got nervous if people commented about her apartment not because of the decor, but because it was rather large and spacious. Her grandmother would have never let her settle for anything less. It was something of a sensitive spot for Sam. 

“Oh, great! I mean, cool–” She was cut off before she could finish her sentence because Wendy’s hand cupped her face. Sam looked longingly up into Wendy’s eyes as they said those few words that made Sam’s breath get caught in her throat. “I missed you too,” she said softly. Before she knew it Wendy’s lips ended up on her own. Sam instantly kissed them back, wrapping their own arms around Wendy’s neck. Sam had wanted this again so bad but didn’t want to admit it. She was so glad Wendy felt the same need. Sam had really pushed her lips into it. Her whole body felt electrified and the moment the kiss ended she already found her lips begging for more. 

When her back was to the door with Wendy, Sam gazed back into their eyes as she tried to catch her breath. “I have a…” she trailed off. Forming a sentence suddenly seemed difficult. She forced herself out of it and cleared her throat. “I’ve got loads of movies. And there’s always streaming services. So, plenty of options. I don’t really know how to narrow it down. I mean, what kind of horror movies are you into? Thrillers, slashers, haunted houses, true crime…” She rambled on for a moment before suddenly stopping. “I’m just saying we have a lot of options.” Their lips almost touched again but they were rudely interrupted by a meow. Sam only broke away from Wendy to lean down and pick the small black cat up. “This is Mina. We don’t get too many visitors so she might be a little skeptical of you at first. You can attempt to pet her but I can’t promise she won’t try and hit you with her paw.” Sam held the cat in her arms like a baby. “She’s very loving to me and only a few others. Don’t be offended if she doesn’t like you right away. She warms up slow.” Sam glanced up from Mina to Wendy, curious of what they would do and how the cat would react.

“In that case I’ll leave Mina alone, let her get the vibe first,” Wendy says to Sam as they continue holding their hand out for Mina to sniff. “But don’t worry baby, I’ll love you when you’re ready.” Wendy stands to give the cat some space and turns back to Sam. “Your place is beautiful. It fits you very well.” They stare at Sam for a moment with a small smile on their face. They want to stop everything and kiss them, wants more of Sam. “Thank you for having me here. I’ve been stoked to spend time with you. I’ve seen most horror movies that involve the woods. My brothers would marathon them to try and scare me, but it backfired. I loved them and it scared the crap out of all of them.”

Wendy finishes talking and bends down to slip off their shoes. It’s a habit they have from the family. None of them wanted muddy shoes anywhere in their house, that was the one rule everyone could remember to follow. “I hope it’s okay to take these off, I just don’t want to dirty up the place.” They rose back up and smiled at Sam. “Slashers or great. Do you have anything that will scare you into my arms? Or vice versa, I’m not picky.” Wendy laughs to let Sam know that they’re not actually serious bout these pick up lines. Hopefully Sam thinks they are smoother than that.

“You’re the expert, so I’m leaving the final decision up to you. Sorry.” Wendy gently grabs Sam’s hand and pulls them closer. “I’m just stoked to be here with you so anything you want goes. We also don’t have to watch a movie. If you want.”

Sam didn’t understand why she was so nervous to have Wendy come over. It was supposed to be a totally relaxed night to just hang out and maybe watch a horror flick to start of the Halloween season right. She’d made sure to tidy up her apartment a little extra that day, not that she was really a messy person but still. Sam wasn’t sure what to even wear, which drove her insane all day long, so for the better part of the day she was in a t-shirt and sweatpants until changing later into just a black top and some jeans. Sam knew Wendy would be there pretty quick and just as she was finishing swiping on a little eyeliner she heard the door knock. 

After quickly putting the last few of her things away in the bathroom she ran to the door, nearly tripping over her cat as she did. Sam took a deep breath, smoothed her hair down, then opened the door. Wendy was a spectacle and the sight of them made Sam lose her breath. Sam wasn’t sure how to greet the other. All she could think about is how she wanted to kiss them again. “Hi,” she finally said after a moment of silence that was just a little too long. “How are you? Come in.” She stepped aside so Wendy could come inside and closed the door behind them. When Sam turned back around to face Wendy her heart skipped a beat. Her mind flashes to the night of the bonfire and the urge to kiss Wendy grows stronger. “So, like, I wasn’t sure of the vibe for tonight so I thought like maybe horror movies and something chill? How does that sound?”

The sight of Sam made Wendy’s heart race. A smile spread across their face as they looked at her. A moment passes and Wendy racks their brain for some smooth line to open with. Say something. You’re supposed to be good at this. Sam finally breaks the silence with a greeting. “Hey there,” Wendy responds as they not so subtly check out Sam. It took them ages to get dressed, every outfit seemed wrong. They ended up going with some ripped jeans and a flannel over an old shirt. Thank goodness Sam seemed to dress with a similar vibe. “I’m a lot better now, seeing you,” Wendy said as they walk into the apartment. 

Wendy’s eyes widen as they look around. It’s so... Sam. They immediately want to wander off and look around, to learn more about her. Instead they turn back and look at Sam. “I think horror movies and chill sounds perfect.” Wendy walks closer to Sam as they respond, “there’s just one thing I want to do first.” They gently bring their hand up to cup Sam’s face, pausing for a moment to see if they’re okay with it. Wendy pushes closer to Sam, stopping before their lips touch. “I’ve missed you, Sam.” They finally close the distance and kiss Sam. Finally. It never feels like enough when they kiss Sam. By the time it’s over they always find themself wanting more. 

Wendy breaks the kiss and looks at Sam, keeping eye contact as Sam’s back hits the door. “So what movie options do we have?” They say, speaking low. A movie did sound perfect for tonight Wendy thought. Watching a favorite of Sams, hearing them talk about it, maybe cuddling. It was exactly what they wanted right now, more time with Sam. They didn’t mind a little of this though. As Wendy moves back in to continue the kiss, something brushes up against their leg. They look down and see a cat. “Oh my gosh, who is this. I love them.” They say as they lean down to let the cat sniff their hand. 

Wendy triple checked the address Sam had sent her with the one she had arrived at. They stood just off to the right of Sam’s door to give themselves a moment to catch their breath. They were nervous. Sure they had gotten closer with Sam. She invited her here- after the bonfire. Oh, yeah, and that gossip post. Wendy didn’t really care much about that. Besides the fact that they went after Sam too. Even if Sam said they don’t care about that stuff, Wendy hated it. 

After delaying as long as possible, Sam pushed themselves to knock on the door. They were so excited to see Sam’s apartment. Of course, they couldn’t wait to see Sam. Especially after the bonfire. She occupied Wendy’s mind before that night, but now, Wendy didn’t have a chance. They wanted to see more of Sam. They ran a hand through their hair before knocking on the door. Heart racing, Wendy bounced on their feet. When the door to the apartment finally opened, every thought left Wendy’s brain.

“Oh, damn. How did you figure it out? All along it’s been my plan to seduce you.” Sam let out a low laugh then leaned her forehead against the other’s for a moment. She could have stayed like this all night. She wanted to stay in Wendy’s arms. When Wendy whispered in her ear the hair on the back of her neck stood up as their breath travelled down their neck. Their words sent another shock through her spine. “Then kiss me until the sun rises,” she challenged as she looked into Wendy’s eyes. As their hand travelled down Sam’s arm her arm began to tingle. Sam lets their own fingers entangle with Wendy’s. “Lead the way.”

The silence that passed over them felt nice for a moment. It gave time for Sam to collect their thoughts. When Wendy broke the silence at what felt like just the right time Sam glanced over at them for a brief moment as they walked together. “Have you now? And to think, I could have never walked into that shop. I could have never existed in your life.” Sam finally looks over at Wendy and sees them smiling. Her heart skipped a beat and she smiled back. “A little dull before I ran into you.” Sam gives their hand a light squeeze. “And your day? Are you having fun?”

“I don’t know what drew you in there that day but I’m so glad you came in. How was that incense by the way? It smelled potent, not in a bad way I mean.” Wendy cringed a bit as they spoke. The last thing they want to do right now is insult Sam. “I’m so used to the smell of it I’m not even sure I cold ever appreciate it without thinking of the shop. Not that I mind though. That place has become kind of a second home to me.” They widen their eyes suddenly and turn to Sam. “I never said that though, tell anyone and I will deny it to my early grave.” 

“Before I ran into you I was people watching. Usually it’s entertaining bur tonight it was kinda nice, to watch everyone let go of the gossip stress. I don’t even like people and I caught myself thinking that.” Wendy runs a hand through their hair and looks over at Sam, making sure they weren’t boring them to tears. “That’s the real crime. It almost made me sentimental.” Wendy stops walking and turns to Sam, lowering their voice. “I’m having a much better time now.” They look at Sam and step a little closer. “The only thing is... I can’t stop thinking about taking you up on your offer and kissing you until sunrise.” Lifting their free hand to rest against Sam’s face, they finish with a whisper, “Hm, what do you think?”

Just the light feeling of brushing lips had sent electricity down Sam’s spine. And when their gazes met briefly Sam felt like their eyes held the same emotions. This was never supposed to be like this, but Sam knew she was too far gone to want to turn back now. Wendy’s words resonated deep within her. Her heart skipped a beat and she knew that if she wasn’t screwed before she was now. As they kissed Sam could feel sparks flying between them. Every action Wendy made made her feel ignited. When Wendy pushed their bodies together and put their hand on Sam’s back she wrapped her arms around their neck. Sam deepened the kiss, knowing nothing could ruin this moment. 

After pulling away Sam barely had a moment to catch their breath before Wendy had put their lips back on their own. Sam wasn’t used to everything she was feeling. She didn’t really do the whole feelings thing to begin with. Not that she was complaining, but it wasn’t something she’d expected nor had been looking for. Things seemed to have just fallen in place with Wendy though because Sam suddenly wanted nothing to do with the people she hooked up with and just wanted to focus on the person whose lips were on hers. When the kiss ended and Wendy spoke Sam couldn’t help but smirk. “I mean, there wasn’t really a plan. I just went in for the kill.” The wink nearly killed Sam. She nearly dropped her jaw but remained composed. Well, as composed as one could be in a situation like this. Sam tightened her arms around Wendy’s neck. “I would love a drink. But, I also really want to kiss you again. So, I guess we could get a drink and continue after.”

“So you mean you didn’t have any ulterior motive? Weren’t trying to seduce the town flirt?” Wendy replies with a low voice and a small laugh. They love the feeling of Sam’s arms around their neck- of having Sam this close. The idea of stopping kills Wendy, but they want to take their time with Sam. Somewhere else where they aren’t surrounded by everyone in town and easy prey for whoever writes those annoying gossip posts. They look at Sam for a moment and lean in until their mouth lightly hits Sam’s ear. “I had no intention of stopping. I’m yours all night.” Wendy trails down and places a soft kiss on Sam’s neck, just below her jaw. They pull back slowly, giving Sam space and sliding their hand down her arm. Grabbing Sam’s hand, Wendy looks at them and smiles, “shall we?”

As the two slowly make their way towards the bar, Wendy lets the silence sit before speaking. “I’ve been looking forward to seeing you again. From the very first time we said good-bye.” They look down and watch both sets of feet push through the sand, “It’s funny how I can’t stop thinking about you. All I want to do is hear about your day.” Wendy looks up and gives Sam a smile. “How are you finding the festivities? Before we ran into each other of course.”
