Just then Dorian all off a sudden realized that he was babbling out the most unimportant details of his boring life to a near complete stranger on the street like a waterfall.

What was even weirder than the sheer fact that he was actually talking to a near complete stranger on the street, was the fact that it (if he was totally honest with himself) did not feel weird at all. If anything, it felt…well, for lack of better words ‘normal’.

This word usually didn’t exist in the Dorian universe and this just added more perplexity to the already jumbled mess that was his mind at the moment. The distinct lack of experience when it came to interacting with other people made it nearly impossible for Dorian to draw up on knowledge from previous social encounters and therefore extremely hard to come up with an acceptable reply. He did for the first time he could remember actually feel like spending more time with another person but a voice in the back of his had also reminded him that it was nearly six o’clock which is when the library would close and he really wanted to get that book.
