He’s always ready to help and offer advice to his coworkers, especially on the days when Kennedy is working at headquarters. However, he showed special attention to only one woman—you. At first, it seemed that all these signs of extraordinary sensitivity were because you were new to the team.

You thought exactly that yourself, because, given your inexperience in certain areas, you might make a mistake. But even many months after you’d fully integrated into the new team and started to get the hang of everything, that sense of care hadn’t diminished in the slightest.

“Would you like some coffee?” Leon asked gently, leaning unobtrusively over you while you fixed your weary gaze on the computer screen. Kennedy’s breath brushed the back of your neck, sending a wave of embarrassment through you.

4) In fact, Leon is very tactile and loves to show his affection that way. Time and again, he spoke of his “imperfections,” his “inability to be a worthy partner,” and his “inability to love.”

However, this didn’t deter his beloved, because… nobody is perfect. Everyone has their own inner demons, fears, and flaws. But they certainly don’t make a person bad. And that’s exactly how Kennedy saw himself. At first, after his wife made the irrevocable decision to be with him, he didn’t open up; he kept a lot hidden, bottled it up inside, and let it build into a huge knot. Just as he had done his whole life.

It was hard for him to talk about old scars, about the things that gnawed at him. However, Leon tried, for the sake of strengthening their bond. Whenever things got tough, he would fall silent and withdraw, but eventually, this happened less and less.
