Speaking of royal residences, do you think when William and Kate become King and Queen, do you see them live in Buckingham Palace, or will KP remain their london residence? I don't think they will use Clarence house if Camilla is still alive at that time.
I find it interesting that you assume that, if Charles were to pass away before Camilla, she might continue living at Clarence House. Personally, I don’t think she would. First, because I doubt she’d want to, and second, because I don’t think William would allow it. Camilla doesn’t work much as it is, so it wouldn’t surprise me if she "retired" as a working royal if she outlives Charles and moves… wherever she lives now—I’m sorry, I don’t actually know where that is—or maybe even to India, who knows? I imagine she’d still support certain causes, but I don’t think we’d see much of her. Am I underestimating her? I guess we’ll see.
As for William and Catherine, I don’t see them living at Buckingham Palace. I think they’d use it as an office, like Charles does, and live at Windsor Castle. Kensington Palace would likely be their base when they’re in London, just like Charles uses Clarence House, I think.
Camilla has Ray Mill. She will retire there.

I don’t think anyone who’s been paying attention over the last 40 years would be surprised to hear that William has some reservations about certain aspects of royal life and traditions.😅
Some of these customs are undoubtedly outdated and it’s understandable that he might want to move away from them. Or change them a little bit. However, there are others that, despite their traditional nature, are integral to the royal institution or life.
The pomp and pageantry, for example, are inherently royal; they’re not just ceremonial frills but a key part of what makes the monarchy distinct. All that help maintain the gravitas of the institution and its long-standing cultural significance.
So, while it might seem tempting to overhaul everything in an effort to modernise, it wouldn’t make much sense for William to completely dismantle these traditions when it’s his turn on the throne.
If that’s the path he wants to take, then perhaps the real question is: why not abolish the monarchy altogether and become just another wealthy philanthropist? 🤷♀️
The truth is, what sets William apart from other public figures isn’t just his ideas or personal values, but the royal role he’s bound to play. It’s the titles, the responsibilities, the legacy—and yes, the pomp and pageantry—that define his position.
Modernising the monarchy is, of course, a necessary step, but there’s a fine line between updating traditions for the better and disregarding the core of what makes the monarchy unique.
But here’s the thing: the public wants it all. They want the glamour—the tiaras, the regal ceremonies, the royal uniforms, and all the symbolism that comes with the titles.
At the same time, they want the monarchy to use its platform to champion meaningful causes, create positive change, and support important initiatives that can benefit the world.
So what William should aim to create is a balance—being someone who’s in touch with the world, yet never losing sight of the fact that they are Royals, with all the weight and responsibility that title carries.
While some people may desire a sense of normalcy from the royal family, they also expect them to be extraordinary in the ways that only royalty can be. It’s a tricky balance to strike, and one that’s difficult to achieve, but that’s the reality of being a Royal with a capital R.
Hopefully, we’re wrong in thinking that he might be leaning too far into one side of this equation.
Charles leaned too far one way. But when the time came he snapped in line. He has made some changes. But overall he is still working on a balance. Wm will forge his own way. But will learn the same way Charles did. The days of having 500 patronages is over. It will be trial and error. He must remember that he only gets these platforms due to being in the RF. And now the heir. And as his generation ages they will want the comforts of tradition.

Good analysis of the situation
What to do if the worst happens? Jefferson Wrote it in the Declaration of Independence.

We're at the post-election moment when Dems are reading tea leaves and bird entrails to figure out why they lost.
For the love of Gaia, please stop thinking the Dems did something wrong. Nobody could have campaigned harder than Harris & Walz, or with more determination or a clearer message. We lost on Tuesday because the Supreme Court, the Electoral college, gerrymandering, and the media's intentional silence staged a coup.

HERE'S A PETITION TO FORCE TRUMP TO RESIGN LET'S DO IT THERE'S 19339 SIGNATURES OUT OF 25000 LET'S HIT THE GOAL AND MAKE SOME ORANGE PULP

Vance is going to 25th amendment him within six months if he doesn’t die before then.
The media and the politicians do this every election - they scare the heck out of people with dire warnings. The last three presidential elections have all been called " the most important election ever". Every republican candidate going back to Reagan is Hitler. It's lunacy. And they do it to make money and get your vote. It's fake, it's destructive and you are a fool if you fall for it. It's just an election and it won't change your life much.
its over the top, they handmaid outfits and people collapsing in sobs on Twitter.
The thing is either side LIES and either color or sex...
They are politicians and no one could keep all the promises they make to get elected to any office. But the good ones try their best to keep the promises they make with compromises along the way.
And the whole "Vote for HER" or you will get "HIM" worked even worse this time than it did the last time with Hilary Clinton.
Y’all haven’t been paying attention. The find out has already started. You’re on an ACA health insurance plan? Kiss that goodbye. Is your kid on an IEP? Buh bye. There is already legislation proposed to cut social security for disabled people. Legal immigrants will be rounded up. Your groceries are about to get a lot more expensive.
Twitter comes in handy sometimes
God didn’t save that man for nothing. Of course he was going to win. Thank god he did.
Well, he's going to die in office--whether it's less than six weeks in office or less than six months.
I don't know that I particularly care since he wasn't running to do anything other than save his own ass.
Your savior only cares about himself, and the sudden stress of being back in office will do him in. Week after week.
Can't wait to watch that decline on twitter!
There are a lot of federal employees who can't wait to get a day off for his funeral.
The way you dress shows respect, or lack thereof to the people you’re visiting. I’m all for sustainability, but wear nice clothes you already have. His outfit doesn’t match the occasion.

FUCK THIS COUNTRY
I don’t like saying “fuck this country,” because it is and will always be my home, and I care deeply about it. But the screenshot is 10/10. I’m devastated, heartbroken, and in utter shock.
