please please please let me get what i want september

You don't have to force yourself to bounce back so quickly. I read something recently that said "when you come in from a rainstorm, you don't expect yourself to be dry and warm right away", and it really resonated with me. It's okay to take time to dry off and warm up. Take the time you need to process what happened to you.

you’ll find new people to have deep conversations with. you’ll find a new place to feel at home in. you’ll find a reason to be genuinely excited to wake up in the morning. you’ll find someone who will reinvent your tainted version of love. you’ll find a way to reconceptualise your feelings and turn to healthy ways to cope. you’ll find a way to reach your goal and improve yourself. you’ll find a way to live every day with inner peace and appreciation for everything you have.

But the thing I will never admit to anyone who's met me is how desperately I want to be loved, I don't think I could say it. How I want someone to hold my wrists and kiss my palms and smile at me, and want me, I want to be wanted and I don't know how long poetry or songs will substitute for being wanted.

i hope you remember it’s very human and normal to crave affection, human interaction, attention and love. you’re not “too needy” or “too sensitive” for wanting to have your emotional and social needs met accordingly. 

Never forget that one day someone is going to match your energy and will never want to stop learning new things about you
