Summary: After a long, tedious fight for android rights, Markus was finally able to rescue Simon from the DPD evidence locker. After repairing him, Markus was full of hope that the relationship he’d dreamed of for the last almost six years would finally have a chance.
Connor had never stopped regretting Daniel’s death. Even though his mission was successful, he felt like he’d failed. Daniel’s last words had cut him like a knife. Connor fought his way to deviancy and into Markus’s inner circle for a chance to make things right with Daniel.
With both relationships blossoming, the RKs were feeling good that they could finally move past the rebellion and move on with their futures. That is, until Simon and Daniel go missing, leading them on a chase across Detroit.
Join Markus and Connor on their quest to find their loves, understand why they left, and learn who they really are along the way.

Sneak Peek:
rA9, he fucking hated this place. Markus sat with both hands on the steering wheel, gripping it tight enough to glitch the synthetic skin on his knuckles. His eyes drifted to the third floor: the last window, northwest corner. It looked no different than any of the others, but he knew it too well. The last time he’d looked through it from the inside, Carl’s heart monitor was still beating beside the bed, though the rhythm had already turned into a question mark. “Last time I walked out of here,” Markus muttered, more to himself than to Connor, “I had a death certificate and a plastic bag with his wallet and cellphone.” He laughed a fake and joyless laugh. “Hell of a fucking trade off.” As if by magic, he could smell the scent of antiseptic that wasn’t even in the air, but he could smell it still, phantom-like, crawling up his nose, cutting into his throat as he choked it down. It clung to his memory like a virus, always waiting to claw at the edge of his senses.
