A trope in Xianxia settings sometimes objects and artefacts of specific spiritual degree are able to cultivate human bodies with enough qi over a long enough period of time. So I posit Yue Qingyuan’s sword Xuan Su is an old and powerful sword to which has an unfortunate parasitic bond to his soul, such an old sword could theoretically cultivate a body

so perhaps mqf in searching for a way to sever that parasitic bond comes up with a new experimental (and highly unethical) treatment, to try and get Xuan Su to cultivate a body for itself, although at this stage it is as if yqy himself is Xuan Su’s body the way the meridians and spiritual energy is all mixed up, to get around this with the help of (insert Mpreg mcguffin, sex plant, spiritual tool, etc here) mqf gets yqy to go through pregnancy to host and speed up cultivation of a new body for Xuan Su. The theory being that the baby being made from yqy is but an extension of himself, his body, his blood and spirit. That a parents child in spirit should be but an extension of the parents lifeblood and legacy. so a fulfilment of this process should in part disentangle yqy from Xuan Su on an almost ritualistic level but also a physical level.

Some additional things that could make the whole ordeal more fucked up/funny if you wanted

-some kind of health complication because who said literally hosing the manifestation of your own sword in your body would be easy

-mqf fully expects yqy not want to keep the end results and is either so clinically detached about the whole thing, strangely fascinated in an almost flippant manner that he gets to do this new medical procedure, or just in a constant manic state of alarm for his shiddi’s health for all the shit that could go wrong and yqy is just happy to be preggers

-Yqy does in fact want to keep it to an almost strangely reverent degree regardless of possible complications his this is his very own blood and flesh to care for, to nurture and grow (especially if the method of conception involved sj somehow)

-wqw is involved somehow because he knows swords

-sj is seething and trying to figure out who got qi ge pregnant (even better if the answers a spiritual tool and he’s mad/jealous of no one)

-it’s only after the whole pregnancy thing happens that sj finds out about the parasitic bond and that makes their whole thing worse because what do you mean the way he had to find out was by yqy giving birth to a human sword and not just telling him for heaven’s sakes
