It’s only because she hadn’t, actually. he’d purposed the idea of the separated delicacies because he simply loves the smell. She’d only been living with him for a small bit, she wasn’t used to the periodic routines. Though if she’d stayed a bit longer with him, she’d start to do these behaviors herself. some would think it’d be almost casual. He’d been in bed all day, winnowed up in his robe smoking, and drinking. he’s not a violent drunk, see, he’s a romantic one. He thought she’d like the appealing look. they used to do this when he was home, and it was something refreshing. it meant maturity, he liked the symbolism of the rose petals, each individual petal meant a sign of christ.. in his religion it meant a sign of the oracle. he motions for a servant, they give her a glass of pink bubbly wine.. and bow graciously to her presence. he likes it this way.  he’d give her anything, even if she were wrong . he’d promised her so ..

bet i’ll still get some money.  the floppy white hat perched on her head being drawn off by a slow motion. madonna holds her hat to her breast as she pushes into the doorway,   lingering while blackened eyes fall unto the god, draped against silk soft velvet and  sheer wine-toned  fabrics. he’s a lovely sight.  madonna feels her breath catch in her throat,  fingers slipping around the stem of the offered wine glass. she barely gives the servant a second glance, catlike eyes  narrowed, indulging  in the sight of sebastian before her. 

her hat is tossed onto a leather sofa that she soon drifts past,  a gulp of sparkling wine downed  before she extends a glittering hand for her love to kiss.

part of him thinks that makes sense, but rudi has a habitual hesitance towards donna. thinks of other ways that could be good ( for abra ). he wonders if her intentions are more SELFISH on her part. it wouldn’t be surprising. fingers mess malachai’s hair, the little ghoul - child takes notice. he looks up at his father, GRUNTS. rudi snorts.  “ that’s possible, huh. DYIN’ OF HEARTBREAK. “ sounds fake. dramatic. but he’s felt that pain before ( it’s only never claimed him ). rudi clicks his tongue. “ convince jude, bet’cha he’d undahstand. if it’s so GOOD fer her. not that it mattahs. “ because he’s gone. he’s gone. it’s funny to think that. his stomach twists a little. 

“  well,  i mean.  it’s just a euphemism for killing oneself.  ”  which abra was altogether too prone to do, but madonna related that to her condition. her species. such blurs of light are not meant to exist for long periods of time.  they die abruptly, and return to earth once more after a period of rest.
