Don’t despair if your fave #MDO4 museum gets knocked out in an early round - the Judges Choice Awards will be announced on Thunderdome day!

Up today in Museum Dance Off 4: A New Hope, we have Group 1 of the Eastern US Division! 

Due to the large number of entries from the US on both coasts, we split them not only into Divisions, but into groups. There are three groups in the Eastern Division. They will compete against each other to determine who will face the winner of the USA Western Division final (where there are two groups). 

MUSEUM DANCE OFF 4: A NEW HOPE VOTING RULES

Anyone can vote, from anywhere in the world. No registration required.

Voting for each pair will be open for 24 hours. All timing will be synced to the US Eastern Time Zone.

You can vote as many times as you wish.

Come back the next day to vote for a new set of museums! Encourage others to vote using the hashtag #MDO4.

Above Pittsburgh

My Southwest Airlines flight from Baltimore to Las Vegas apparently flew directly over the city of Pittsburgh, because I snapped this picture from my window. Downtown Pittsburgh is wedged between the Allegheny and Monogahela Rivers where the come together to form the Ohio River. It can be seen as the triangle shaped bright area. Just across the river to the Northwest is a popular district that includes the stadiums of the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team and Pittsburgh Steelers football team. Pittsburgh is a mountainous city, causing many of the circuitous routes of the roads seen here. There is still a great deal of heavy industry, including at the bottom left.

Everyone knows the only way to build a city is to wait until a bunch of tiny villages merge together over centuries and create a sprawling clusterfuck of winding roads that make no sense and have no street signs and are impossible to navigate unless you’ve lived there all your life.
