Once more, Ulki blames himself. He's notoriously bad at discussing his feelings, and he chooses isolation when he's confused or frustrated. Rhys may have pinned his distance as disinterest, and now this… Ulki's hand halts, his arm hooking around Rhys' shoulder and pulling him close. Even now, he has no words to comfort his love; just his touch, his presence. For the moment, it must be enough.

As soon as I tasted this tea, so many memories came rushing back. A field my friend and I raced through. The trees we sat under to talk and trade dreams. My father, sailing off to fish. My mother’s face while cooking dinner. Three of us at the table… Happy times. I’d almost forgotten them, but… They’ve always been there, haven’t they?
