Hi. I'm Robin. Use whatever pronouns you feel like, probably not it tho. Age is getting closer to 30 than I'd like. I like stories and art, and fantasy. I have a somewhat weird way of processing the world, yay autism, by which I mean I don't remotely understand most of it, my brain works heavily on story and myth/fantasy logic which works except the world doesn't. Gender is probably self-evident based on the blog name, but subject to change.

I pretty much just made this whole thing as an outlet for my thoughts and a way to deal with social anxiety. So expect mostly rants, mini-essays, random thoughts, cool things I got my hands on or saw, and some fanboying here and there.

Sona's name Robin Mint, technically ██████ Mint for the first 2.5 steps, but I don't particularly enjoy dissociating so the black bars is all people are getting.

Like Baxter and Derek I had a relatively easy time with since I'm pretty convinced both would be shields, albeit for vastly different reasons. Baxter tends to keep people away and deflect (could be a rapier or parrying dagger if I lean more into the elegance he tries to carry himself with). Derek leans more towards supporting those he cares about. So yeah, very different tones for a shield, which is neat.

I can look myself in the mirror for the first time without hating my body and people still accuse me of being manipulated by others or of making the wrong decision.

Thank you for the ask, it made my day! So for both: 2. Do you use a self insert or create an OC for your MC? Both? Self-insert all the way with both OLBA and OLNF, but I do take some liberties based on stuff like how I imagine them having grown up compared to me. And admittedly everytime I do try to play an OC with OLBA I see Cove and it becomes self-insert again...

3. Favorite moment you've played from each game? For OLBA? From the actual Moments I can't pick to save my life it tends to be whichever one I'm playing at the time, but if I count the Wedding epilogue then probably that. For OLNF? I haven't played too much so far since I kinda wanna wait till I can play it fully, but the Step 1 opening itself instantly had me fall in love with the vibe of the game.

I am incredibly high (or at least was when I started writing this) and my anxiety isn't a factor so I'm just gonna ramble on every bit of details I can remember about my OLBA sona. This is liable to be a ramble-y disjointed mess, have fun! The art is by @neutralartist who is great and nice and has some really cool OCs and art that you should totally check out.

Let's start with talking about their appearance:

The reference sheet is them in Step 4 with our shared lack of fashion sense, well that's a lie, we both get it, but we hate putting in the effort. Comfy comes first and then anything resembling fashion comes later. That shirt is there for legal reasons as far as they are concerned.

Their left eye is a prosthetic, they had issues recognizing their actual left eye as part of their body and it got out of hand during college. Sadly can't make it a thing in Step 4 or give them an eye-patch in-game to match, but I think they scratched it out between Step 3 and Step 4 during a dissociative episode. They are kinda fond of the fake eye and like the way it looks, but don't always like the way friends and family look at it, so they often cover it since they still feel guilty about the way stuff happened with it. I don't think Cove was willing to leave them on their own for awhile after that incident.

The anklet is made to resemble that of a character from one of their favorite games (Tales of Zestiria), but with a sunset coloring for the feathers (heh, Sunset Bird). They tend to fidget with it when stressed or uncomfortable.

They are Demisexual and Non-Binary

They have autism and ADHD

Their hobbies include drawing and writing, mainly poetry. They have at least a sketchbook full of drawings of Cove, some of which Cove is probably hoping never see the light of day.

They like skating, but most of their physical exercise is from following Cove to the gym.

They have a fondness for Dragons the same way Cove has a fondness for Mermaids. They'd love to be the one and tend to designate anything they love as "treasures" ever since they were a kid including Cove and their family.

They are very physical in their affection. They like giving hugs and are a bit needy, they like observing people's reactions to things, holding hands and in Cove's case they like teasing him and seeing how he responds.

They are sensitive to sounds, touch and taste/texture. They find loud or high-pitched noises painful and are a picky eater. They like having Cove whisper into their ear when distressed.

They are pretty absent-minded and would probably forget to eat and take care of themselves if not for Cove and alerts (voted most likely to kill a houseplant by everyone who knows them).

They went to college, but I have no idea what they studied. Either media studies, philosophy or the arts. They probably switched up their major at some point. So probably a mix.

Their and Cove's sleep schedules do not match at all. 2-11am sleeper, waking up early mandates an afternoon nap and sleeping early just means hugging Cove till they actually fall asleep three hours later.

They tend to go non-verbal when upset.

In-game Trivia / Headcanon:

Did not take the twenty dollars. They found Cliff pretty scary for most of the first summer, so they just ran away. Did start giving him Father's Day cards and asking him for growing up advise later on.

They told Cove about the deal in Step 1. They thought it would comfort him to know they weren't friends with him because of money like Shiloh said.

Cove's runaway attempt in Step 1 had them terrified for the first few years that Cove wouldn't come back from his trips to Kyra, so they'd cry for hours when he left.

They started dating Cove in Step 2 and proposed in Step 3.

Their favorite flowers are Sunflowers.

They joined ORCA with Cove, mostly to spend more time together but a good deed is a good deed.

The Cove-mobile is their favorite form of transport. Piggyback rides ftw.

They refused to speak to moms for multiple days over the farmer's market shenanigans.
