Anika and Koatsu stood facing each other in the field, waiting for the other to make the first move. Suddenly, Koatsu runs and lunges for Anika to try and take her down with an extended arm. Anika dodges just in time, and Koatsu skids in the dirt, ‘Phew, that was close… I’d better be careful.’ Anika thought as she started to sing a tune.

This time, it was Dark Woods Circus. Just as she started to sing, Koatsu covered his ears, attempting to block out her voice. In response, she sang louder, but he summoned a small flame. Oh no. It took almost everything in her body to ignore it and focus. He then ran at her again, and she realized she had stopped singing as soon he had summoned the flame, so she decided to choose a faster song to work faster.

She started to sing The Real Disappearance of Hatsune Miku, and immediately Koatsu backed up and covered his ears again.

She sang louder, and he made the flame bigger. It wasn’t going to end, was it? After a couple minutes of this, Anika decided that she had to fight.

She ran at him, and so he ran at her. Suddenly, he punched her, but she recovered swiftly and punched back. Her punch was significantly weaker, but she had managed to hit Koatsu in the jaw, sending him stumbling back a couple steps. In the moment that he was distracted, Anika began to sing, loud and fast, and in only seconds she had won the battle.

After the fight, Koatsu came up to her, “Hey, no hard feelings about the fire, right?” Anika hesitated, before saying, “It’s fine. It was a fight. You did what you had to do.” She smiled at him. He grinned back, “One day, I’ll beat you!” He exclaimed, “You better! I’ll be looking forward to when we can fight again.” Anika replied. The two shook hands with a determined look in their eyes, then parted ways.
