I like to believe Nico’s the spitting image of her. I love the “Nico looks like Bianca” headcanons but imagine. From every mole on his face, to the shape of his eyes, the shape of his lips, the curve of his nose. He looks like Maria. Bianca, also, shares similarities but she has their Nonna’s nose. Her smile looks more like their Zio’s. But from the moment Nico started to grow into his features as a boy, Hades would joke with Maria. He would laugh and say that she was just a copy machine. The boy looks like her. Laughs like her. When he’s mad, his eyebrows furrow just like hers.

When Nico started growing out his hair, or rather, stopped caring about his hair, thats when he starts to think about his mom more. His memory is too screwy and he can’t put 2 and 2 together on why he keeps getting reminded of his mom.

He’ll never realize that when he was being manipulated, when he was starving, when his skin started getting pale he looked like how Maria did in her last moments.
