“Oh no, I’m fine with the bed. I just didn’t think you would be comfortable with me wrapped around you in the morning.” She told him with a shrug and looked away for just a moment. What else was she supposed to say? Not many people were at ease with the idea of cuddling and sleeping so close to people they weren’t related to.
She patted his shoulder lightly as she moved her bag of toiletries into the bathroom, inspecting in curiously. This was a really nice hotel. She was definitely going to take these little travel sized things home if her mother didn’t come in before she did and sweep out the bathroom before she did. (With that, she made a mental note not to let her in before they left. The woman would take all of their toilet paper, and that was the last thing they would need.)
“Did you want to take a shower first? I tend to take a while.” After all, the rehearsal dinner was that night and she had to get ready for that.

dwayne knows she’s joking. making light of the situation of needing to share a bed for a couple nights. but even though he’s very AWARE of the circumstances, alice’s words bring an unexpected flush of heat into his face. mostly because he has the sudden image of waking up with alice in his arms - dwayne was no less the sleep-cuddler than she was.
❝ nah, you go ahead. take your time, ❞ he tells her, throwing alice a light smile to push down that sudden strong, ANNOYING rush of heat.
