I’m Very happy of how this page turned out! Almost finished my sketchbook .. and it is always completely broken before the end, eh, Maybe I shoud buy them spiral bound. 

Dimanche dernier j’ai soumis un projet à ATSA Action terroriste socialement acceptable (no joke!) . C’est pour un Festival sous le thème des Paradis Fiscaux! oooooouuuuh!

Samedi dernier, j’ai troqué mon atelier de dessin vivant contre quelque chose d’autre.Ici à Québec on est en plein dans le festival de la bd francophone, alors la maison de la littérature a invité samedi 3 bédéistes à succès à animer des ateliers pour les aspirants bédéistes. 

Ça a définitivement été une expérience enrichissante et motivante.

For the composition drawings, my after eartquake lack dynamism. 

technical tip for your composition: ellipses, learn to draw them, and don’t make them too sharp.

in the kitchen drawing we were ask to show creativity, i used this opportunity to draw according to my personnality and interests. I think it’s a good way to bring cohesion in your portfolio.

Boy, This is the weird section! Fruit of my experimentations. Frankenstein monster :P

This is two linographic prints. For the curious I would say it’s an artistic form of stamping, it’s very fun and i love the rigourous method used to classify prints. I really want to do more soon.

in reality this is very big. i used salt dough, acrylic, printed computer drawing. It’s a conceptual triptic about invasion on islands and the impact on indigenous species.

Accepted to sheridan! Part 1

I'm so happy and relieved!

I received my acceptation letter on the 28 of march , as I was coming back very late at night from a life drawing class and I couldn't believe it. I thought: “could be a mistake” or that I was in the waiting list.  But it's a firm acceptation! Now I have so much things to prepare and plan for.

Last Year – Second time trying

It is my second year applying and i've been lucky. Last year my portfolio was not so bad-not so good with a final score of 3.00 . My evaluation I found a little harsh, with only one 4 on all my score sheet.

I could post it at some point if it can help someone.

To be honest it might not be very inspiring, since my improvement is not that dramatic. This slow improvement  is my biggest regret.

Here is my portfolio if you have any question, please ask, I can’t promise answers to everything. for now, i’m only a rocky non student.

i’m not proud of those misshapen action drawing, I drew them the night before, at the hotel (didn’t sleep at all). line quality and proportion are bad.

Also I did a lot of things in the last 3 days before portfolio, but sleep wasn’t one of them, So the morning of the handing, speaking english was super hard, I couldn’t english properly. Didn’t ask any questions that day :P

this i’m more proud of. it is one of my best, with storyboarding. I don’t have my scoresheet yet, so this is based of personnal preferences :D

Very proud of those. Last year, the storyboard was also my favorite part. For the last drawing, i used some playdough to make reference for my two character. 

Use a variety of angle and shots to keep things dynamic but don’t go to weird, because the focus should always stay on the action.
