DISCONTINUED LEGACY

         “---- mhm, whatever you say you liar,” she let out the exhaustion apparent on the other’s face. “you can still zone out, smart one.”

Elodie glanced up as she finally registered someone in the doorway, quickly pressing a few keys until the loud music stopped. “Woah–so sorry about that, I didn’t even realize anyone was there. It helps me focus so well I forget how bothersome it can be. Did you need something or was I just being way too loud?”

           camila was always attracted to the sound of music, whichever music it may be she was there. music and art were her weaknesses. she walked into the labs, she wasn’t smart like these people but she knew a thing or two about technology and all of that. “not bothersome at all, nope. nah, i just came to listen because that wasn’t creepy at all.”

            camila had been working------ procrastinating more like it. space jet lag was more severe than regular because well, it’s space that should be a good enough explanation. she was late on one of her many assignments and it was apparently worth a lot of points. point which she wouldn’t afford to lose. wow, this was really starting to sound like a porno, props to american society. she walked up to his class, papers in hand and a hopefully convincing look on her face. “i was wondering if i could turn this in. i know it’s late---- i’m learning...slowly.”

“Yeah not sure why people on earth still ——–  did you say OA? Where’s that?”

            “yeah, oa. in space, it’s the planet where the green lantern corps are at.”

            “must’ve skipped drama 101 when we were too busy saving the world.”

            “i have met a couple of thrive off it.”

           “it’s a nice language----- earth languages tend to be a little more calming than alien languages, more harsh sounds and all.” 

        “Awe, have you literally just arrived on Earth?                 And what the hell is an Oa?”

         “been in and out for about a year now. still not used to it.       a planet in---- i’m assuming you’re from the other universe--- so my universe.”

            magic shouldn’t really be considered a new concept since she also had abilities but it was still fascinating to watch in person. the man did look kind of worn out------ “if i understood that language i’d ask you to just talk it all day, but yeah---- it’s really cool and stuff.”

           “pretty sure that’s called being biased but you know, that’s just what teachers say. if you wanna say that then go for it, space has drama too.”

           “adri----- i already told you i don’t dream, i go into deep sleep in two minutes and forget everything so no, not every girl can dream.” she let out a chuckle, “we’re immigrants----- think trump will want to kick us out too?” she wondered that if she was born and raised on earth if she would be as idiotic as the man but she rather not think about it. “you have a reputation? well--- you’ve come a long way from footie pj’s.”

                                   “ —BUT THE drama’s half the fun, isn’t it?                    if i’m going to be babysitting for the next couple years                    at least i get some entertainment out of it. ”

             “i can only imagine what type of joy you are to be around. not when it’s around you all the time, though reality tv is one thing to indulge on. oh goodie----another professor who hates their job. lemme guess.... agent?”

           “okay cool, you didn’t get offended and shot me in the eye. that’s good. nice shooting though.”

            “depends on what you consider dreadfully dull----- maybe you’re the one that’s dull.”
