A small sigh passes her lips. An outing, really? A new festival, brand new, with loads of visitors, with loads of potential for trouble, especially considering how much had been going on lately. Halla was somewhat tired of it. Demons had been all over the place, vampire covens picking up pace, getting more and more daring with their approach of the human population of Seoul. But at least she had already decided to drag Leon out with her, waiting until the sun was setting to approach him.
Entering the living room she could already see her boyfriend standing in front of the tall windows overlooking the city, tall, lean frame illuminated by the last rays of sun, bathed in an orange hue. A mischievous look crept on her face as she approached, knowing he already sensed her approaching much earlier. Vampire senses had advantages, though she usually meant no harm to him.
Halla closed the distance between them, quickly wrapping her arms around his middle, palms splayed against his stomach. "Got you, there's no escaping now." Her announcement held a triumphant tone, the corners of her lips drawn up in a smile. "You're my victim today, love. You have the absolute privilege of attending the new festival with me." Listening closely for a reaction her ears caught the smallest sigh.
Turning in her arms Leon faced her, keeping his movements human-paced. To meet his gaze Halla had to tip her chin up slightly, seeing the absolutely disgruntled look on his face. It drew a huff of laughter from her. "I'm just as happy about it, Leon. But supernatural crimes have been on the rise." Her explanation would make him go along with her, if not that then the small kiss she pressed to his lips.
when it came to his girlfriend, leon had no advantages of being a vampireâhalla was as convincing as she was cute, which was more than he could handle. indeed, he felt her presence before she entered the room, but a subtle smile formed upon his lips in amusementâwaiting for her to pounce like a kitten. despite his disgruntled state, her touch was comforting and warmâstanding still as her slender arms wrapped âround his waist. he didnât shift yet, staring out at the evening sun as it lowered upon the city. âlucky me,â he teased underneath his breath, turning on his heel to face her. despite his (dramatic) reaction to attending the autumn festival, the subtle smile returned as he heard her laugh. he wrapped his arms âround her petite frame and hugged her closerâenough for her chin to press against his chest. at least he was dressed for the occasion, his clothes not stained with the blood of other supernatural creatures. leon brushed hallaâs hair behind her shoulder, staring downward at her. there was a glint of amusement in his gaze when she pressed her lips to his, âplease, mon amour.. you seem to be looking forward to it.â because of their height difference, he leaned downward and pressed his lips to her foreheadâa tender kiss lingering against her skin as he straightened his posture. âi can already see myself carrying a giant, pink teddy bear around for you,â he lifted a hand to trace the gentle slope of her nose, âyou wouldnât mind me launching it at an opponent, would you? iâm sure morgana would appreciate it if i used that instead of her.â he didnât bother to search where morgana was in case she heard him, âiâm ready when you are, though iâm not sure when the festival starts.â
