outskirts of seoul.
the hunt that night had not been as promising as the slayer had hoped. there was no thrill, no demon to sacrifice, no innocent to rescue. the half demons he'd been tracking seemed to have disappeared from their downtown whereabouts, most likely relocating elsewhere as to avoid another confrontation from leon. this wasn't the sort of information he wanted to relay to the police force, who were relying on him to rid the supernatural, but he had no choice. he decided it was better to deal with their disappointment the following day rather that same night, and in truth he was missing his girlfriend.
upon his arrival at his apartment, he already sensed halla's absence. it was a rarity for him to finish his hunts before her, typically completing his tasks by three in the morning. a scowl took shape upon his plump lips as he entered the emptiness of the apartment, stripping himself of his weaponry and storing it away. despite her impressive skills in combat, leon still worried for her safety. and he couldn't resist thinking the absolute worst when it was that vulnerable time of night.
[ text : halla ] i just reached my apartment and you're not here.
[ text : halla ] i can't recall the last time when i did the waiting.
[ text : halla ] be safe, my darling. xx.
the pad of his thumb hovered over the 'send' button briefly; however, before he had the chance to press it, he heard a sudden sound from outside the hall and the strong scent of fresh blood traveled to his nostrils. he recognized halla's aura, but the blood?—that wasn't hers.
"halla—" with his enhanced abilities he was already by her side, his brows raised in concern, "when i said red was your colour, i didn't mean this—are you alright?" the scent of blood was empowering to the slayer, and though it wasn't hers, it was still tempting to feed from her right there.
