Facts/RP Hooks
Malibu Baby: Noah is a transplant from California and definitely misses so many aspects of it. He’s been in Shrike for two years and recently returned around Thanksgiving after having left for six months.
Roller Boy: It’s rare to see him on foot without wheels! Either he’s on his bicycle, or he’s roller skating down the street. He loves spending time outdoors when the weather’s nice, and when he’s not, he’s at the local roller rink having fun with friends and taking photos. He won’t go to the edge of the woods anymore, however.
Aspiring Photographer: His ultimate goal is to become a renowned photojournalist someday. But until then, he works at Snapshot and does some freelance photography work on the side. He’s got a million projects, one of which is documenting his life in Shrike Heights, and is always looking to improve. He hopes to start out by working at a paper or magazine when he’s done with his final semester of college this year.
Grandma’s Boy: While he misses Malibu, he doesn’t miss his immediate family at all, but he never really talks about it. He does, however, take care of his Grandmother Ruth and her cat Alice. He can often be seen running errands for her around town, and when asked about his family, he only talks about his grandma, her cat, or otherwise changes the subject.
Early Bird Student: Noah is always fresh as a daisy in the morning. All smiles and occasional snark, he can often be found running errands during the day after class, and typically works closing shifts at Snapshot unless it’s the weekend or days he doesn’t have class. He tries to be in bed at a decent hour, but sometimes will risk a bad night’s sleep for the sake of having a little fun.
Asthmatic: He carries his inhaler with him everywhere he goes, but keeps it well hidden. He doesn’t want anyone thinking he’s uncool! But because he is so active, he needs to have it nearby.
Personality
Noah does his best to make his money go a long way, and is currently saving for what he calls his “World Tour” fund. He’s a penny pincher to the max, so he’s always on board for freebies and paid treats. While he doesn’t splurge on big things, he will still pick up the tab for friends and get them little tchotchke type presents if he thinks they might carry meaning.
Even though he’s a laid back and realistic guy, daydreaming is still a coping mechanism for him. He tries so hard to be a sunny person, but it’s getting harder every day that more horrifying news comes out about the killers on the loose. It’s especially true now that he’s experienced two attacks first hand. He does what he can to stay safe and preserve his mental health, and often it’s by way of zoning out and thinking about anything that brings him joy. (With this, he also partakes in consumption of psychedelics, weed, and alcohol on occasion.)
Noah can be a bit snarky and facetious as a means of self-preservation. He can be reserved and slow to open up to people sometimes, guarding himself with humor, sass, and detachment, but it is all a front to guard a bruised and broken heart. In truth, he’s a bit sensitive deep down.
For all his snark and cattiness at times, he is also really sweet and supportive when it comes to people he cares about. There’s little he won’t do for those that matter to him and for whom he matters. He’ll brave the heat or snow if it means cheering up a valued friend.
Noah is very experimental and isn’t afraid to try anything once, or twice for good measure!
Wanted Connections
Coworkers: Wanted with anyone who works at Snapshot, but also any other mall workers he might meet on his lunch breaks!
Frequent customers: He not only works at the mall, but is also for hire for freelance work. If you need a fledgling photographer with cheap rates for anything-- family photos, scrapbooks, album covers, Glamour shots, etc, Noah is your guy!
Crush: Noah isn't particularly boy-crazy, but there's someone in town who's caught his eye, and the normally sociable and outgoing guy turns into a little trash fire.
Ghost: Noah ghosted this guy when he first arrived to Shrike in 1986 or early 1987. Maybe they had a fun date, maybe they got drunk and slept together, whatever the case, they wanted to keep in touch, but Noah curved them and still feels bad about it.
Friends, rivals, an ex or two (he’s been here two years, who knows!), messy or clean, you name it!
More coming soon! (Will update!)
Plot Drops
Partial Drop 3: (No injury.) Noah and Jupiter Bernstein went on a photo spree in the park when they suddenly ran into the Scarecrow. They managed to take a photo, but dropped that camera. Noah managed to drag Jupiter out and get him to the hospital despite the whirlwind of panic. He couldn't shake the feeling of being watched afterward.
Plot Drop 12: (Left with a cut on his stomach, broken skin on his hands, mild bruising and severe chest pain.) During a winter blizzard, mall employees became stuck in the mall with the Jack-O-Lantern, the Ghost, and the Hunter. They were cornered on the roof before the Hunter was rammed off of the roof, and police were finally able to clear through the snow to get inside and help them out.
