like did i want her and ash to have more time together? OF COURSE but they so could have so easily made her ENTIRE return about ash and that just....would not do justice to her character at all

I really do think they walked the line perfectly. she's still performing, and is excelling at it, braixen has evolved into delphox, so we know she's growing, and best of all she is exactly the type of person to chloe that she outlines wanted to be at the end of xy

wanting to help people smile, give them good advice, encourage them, help them find their dream— she does all of this for chloe. she encourages her, guides her into something new, and gives her exactly the kind of advice she needs. And while everything she says and does echoes Ash and his impact on her, that's all it is. An echo. She's grown into herself so well that even when she does quote what ash said to her after the master class, it doesn't feel like he had overtaken her character and EVERYTHING she does is through the lens of what he would do. it's part of her, sure, he's part of her, but she isn't nothing without him.

She's positive, she's kind, she's brave, she picks people up when they're down; thats the kind of person she is. And, well, that sure sounds a lot like ash ("you're the kind of person I want to be")
