All that I'll be

It all makes me laugh sometimes, ya know? The way that life is always working out. It’s the way the universe gives me what I’ve been working at so hard for, only when the time is right. It’s after trying endlessly, interview after interview, landing my foot in my dream job. It’s the way that I had to learn resilience to get here which only will help me push forward further. It’s the way that all the lessons I’ve learned and the people I’ve met built the path for me. It’s always working out. The universe has a sense of humor, giving me what i want when i least expect it. And I couldn’t be more grateful to see what else it gloriously walks into my life when i least expect it.

Months and years have passed, seasons come and go and things are easier now. The thought of him is an afterthought for me now-a-days and the heartbreak of my life seems like a distant trauma that no longer can torture me. I’ve grown so much I don’t think he’d recognize me as the same person- maybe physically he would,but nothing about my soul looks the same. And that’s okay. I hope he’s doing well, but I’ll never know. And maybe that’s okay too.
