It amazes me how much I messed up my first semester of college to fixing it real fast. My gpa was a 2.0. Since then I knew I had to work my butt off. So in my second semester, I tried harder. My gpa went to a 2.23. It was good, but I knew I could do so much better. I did summer school & BAM, my gpa is now a 2.74. My gpa may not be a 3.0 or a 4.0, but I’m sure I can get it to a 3.0+. I went from bad to good & now I’m heading off to being better. I’m gonna think of this as a race. If I already started off a lil bad but started to become good, why quit? Why quit something I know I’m capable of doing? Why throw away my goals? Nah, I refuse to do that. I’m gonna make it. I’m in the middle of this race & I know deep in my heart I’m not gonna quit. Being a nurse was & still is my dream career. I’m gonna do it & will make it happen.

I can cross off a goof majority of it, because I got into nursing school back in 2020, I passed my state boards 2022, and now I work as a nurse. I've been in a relationship since December 3rd, 2016 and now we're engaged. Currently, the things that are crossing my mind are:

Applying for a new job

Buying a house

Wedding planning has been 😩🙃😖😄

Day Nine & Ten.

9. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

HAHAHAHA, oh man. This hella reminds me of yesterday when Angela & I were going to Gmall. But anyways, in ten years, I see myself either graduating or already graduated as a pediatric nurse. I’m married or about to be married & about to have kids. I see myself as a successful woman who persued her dream goal career & married the love of her life. I see myself living “the good life”, & proving those who said bad shit about me very wrong. I see myself with my high school friends at a reunion & askin’ how my life is like. I see some gettin’ worse & some doin’ very well. I hope that whatever I see myself doin’ in ten years is true. I wish & its my goal to be graduated or about to graduate with my major.

10. Did you have a good day or a bad day? Where do you think that defining line was?

I’ll talk about yesterday December 18, 2010. I had a great day! That defining line was venting out to Angela. Plus our endless laughter. “Bring her paintballing” HAHAHAH!

Update: Not married nor do I have kids. I’m in a relationship though (5 years going on 6 in December 3). But I did finish nursing school & currently studying for my NCLEX. I’m still on my way to becoming a full RN. I’m not sure if I still want to be a pediatric nurse.

Update: My boyfriend of 8 years and I got engaged on 02/09/2025, and we're getting married on May 09, 2026. I've been working as a nurse since 2023. I'm not a peds nurse; but am currently working as a med-surg/tele nurse for adults. No kids yet, but hopefully and planning after our wedding/honeymoon.I've been taking care of my health--going to the gym and eating slightly healthier.

Forgive yourself for all the wrong things you did just to be loved.

The holidays this year have been hard because it’s our first one without you. The other day we celebrated your birthday, but it didn’t feel the same bc you weren’t there. I know you’re watching over us, but I can’t help but be sad bc I was always so used to seeing you during the holidays and always looked forward to us celebrating our birthdays together. I know you’re in peace now bc you’re no longer suffering from any illness. Tomorrow is Christmas Day and the days after will be New Years/my birthday. All I really want for Christmas and my birthday is for you to visit me in my dreams. I miss you very much and I love you always. Your memories will always stay alive.
