JSEC Challenge 2020 Phase 2: Bao Street
As said in my previous post, my friends commissioned me to work on the logo and overall aesthetic of their food stall for this year’s JSEC Challenge Phase 2. As the proposal for Bao Street got approved by the JSEC committee, several changes were made on the initial proposal to better visualize Hong Kong’s nightscape and neon lights. Product photos were taken by my friend, AV. Bao Street emerged as one of the winners of JSEC Challenge Phase 2.Â

JSEC Challenge Phase 2 Proposals: Bao Street & Munch
My friends decided to join this year’s JSEC Challenge which is a flagship project of the Ateneo Management Association (AMA) that enables Ateneans to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and strategies. My friends submitted two proposals-- Bao Street and Munch.Â
Bao Street is inspired by Hong Kong’s street food or ready-to-eat snacks sold by hawkers along the streets of Mong Kok and Causeway Bay in Hong Kong. On the other hand, Munch draws inspiration from food trucks found in the streets of Los Angeles, California.Â
The JSEC Committee approved of the Bao Street proposal. Several changes were made to the logo and overall aesthetic of the food stall in preparation for the actual competition.Â

Teenspeak UP Diliman x BYS Cosmetics Draft
My friends and I joined this year’s Teenspeak which is an annual inter-university advertising competition. Despite not winning, I’d like to share a few campaign drafts I’ve made as part of our proposal for the competition.Â

Klean Kanteen DraftsÂ
Last February 2020, my friends and I joined the Philippine Innovation Challenge held in the University of the Philippines - Diliman under the Travel and Lifestyle Industry. We got a chance to work on a proposal for Klean Kanteen to further their growth and maintain their relevance in the Philippine market. We emerged as the Travel and Lifestyle Industry Champion after a month-long competition and we are currently part of the company’s Student Volunteer Program. In this program, we are formulating proposals and strategies to help the company achieve their goals despite the ongoing pandemic.Â

ateneo: i had to say an unexpected goodbye to the second semester of my sophomore year. i used to complain a lot about not wanting to attend my 8 am class, but i terribly miss hearing the morning bell and running as fast as i could to get to class on time, whilst eating a bagel. funny how we take so many things for granted, and when it’s no longer there to annoy us, we suddenly miss the feeling of waking up so early and forcing ourselves to attend class.Â
i found these video clips of my school which i’ve taken a couple months ago for my chinese project. i played with it a bit and ended up with a montage of inanimate objects, buildings, walkways, and strangers.Â
reminds me of all the mornings spent in this hidden oasis, just daydreaming about skipping classes and the rest of our lives.Â
a cup of coffee in katipunan: the world’s longest lockdown got me reminiscing all the things i used to do in katipunan as a college student obsessed with coffee and cozy cafés. praying for things to get better and for the world to be a little brighter, so we can return to our normal lives with a brand new perspective on life. let us be more appreciative of the things we used to take for granted. crazy world we live in, i know, but i’m still hoping for the best.Â
love to you and all your loves.Â
