Between Cloud and Chasm

After a devastating landslide wipes out their Clan, orphaned siblings Moonpaw and Fogpaw are left with nothing but the mountain beneath their paws and each other. Forced into a relentless search for a new place to call home, the small duo grows into a makeshift Clan along the way. New friends aren't the only ones following them on their journey, however - a malicious cat from the Chasm follows in their wake, determined to put an end to the Clan she thought she had destroyed.

🧡 - Who in the Clan has the most interesting (relationship with) gender? Whether that be xenogenders or something else.

As of the current future character's loose drafts, it's these two!

They both trans their gender, but the one on the left is going to stay a secret for now because it's big big spoilers ;)

The tabby on the right's story re: gender hasn't been entirely fleshed out just yet, but will definitely incorporate their relationship with their gender.

As of the current draft of NimbusClan, none of the future cats have xenogenders (as Nimbus' file was played waaaay before the pronouns update came out) but I'm definitely willing to change/adjust/adapt the genders of future cats as we get closer to them arriving in the comic! At some point, I may also take suggestions on genders and labels you guys wanna see. :)

Fiercely open and proud! She has no reason to hide who she is, though she may run into some trouble surrounding this when the group meets more cats...

Somewhere in-between. He's a very nervous, insecure cat overall (at this point in the story) but he's got bigger things to worry about than his gender and sexuality. He's definitely more secure in his gender than his sexuality - his gender has never given him much pause, but figuring out his feelings for other cats (and sharing those feelings with others) is going to be a bit of a rollercoaster.

I've been mulling this over forever and can't bring myself to a conclusion, so I need your help.

With the comic updates I post getting longer and longer and more involved, it ends up taking me SO long to draw the comic pages AND write the story portions. It's just so much freakin' work.

Right now, I have myself capped at six pages an update because I risk burnout doing any more than that, but then it means chopping my moons into several parts. It works FINE, but... I was wondering how you'd feel if I just stopped writing the story portions.

I originally started this blog as a combo because I felt I was a stronger writer than an artist, and I never expected to get this invested in the drawing part. However, I REALLY like doing the comic pages! They're so fun! It's just a lot of work to do all of these together.

So, all that to ask:
