Ohoho hello askbox :D I wanna know about little crow more! Does she have any quirks or small behaviors that you like?
There's a lot about Little Crow to love !! Her new mate certainly thinks so too! They're a beloved force around the camp. To the older cats, she is their first baby. To the younger, she's their big sister. She's an excellent and impassioned storyteller, and has a very good sense of humor. She's very selfless, but also unapologetic and bold. She isn't afraid to have her voice be heard, or her opinions made known. She's got great attention to detail and a sharp memory too.
My favorite little quirk about her is probably her hop! Her twisted leg makes her gait awkward, and her other hind leg has to do the heavy lifting for both of them. This makes her walk feel almost like she's hopping, a trait that is exaggerated when she's in a cheerful mood.
As for Silver Sage, Crow loves his softness. He's gentle and thoughtful. Even when he doesn't know what to say, he's quick to offer a quiet and considerate presence. She feels safe with him, free to be vulnerable and to step away from her responsibilities and allow herself to be the one being cared for. He's very empathetic too! It's also worth noting that Silver Sage is pretty conventionally handsome by the cats' standards, which she finds even more appealing coupled with how SHY he is. When he's feeling comfortable, he's very laid back and funny. They can talk to each other for hours without getting bored.
They're both pretty head over heels for each other. Little Crow's big concern was that he can be non-committal, and he lets his worries and insecurities steer his paws just as often as his logic and reasoning. She doesn't mind him being a bit of a scaredy-cat, and is happy to be brave for both of them, but she wasn't sure if that would win out over his feelings for her. She's VERY decisive and doesn't care for fickleness or false affirmations. She certainly didn't want Silver Sage to commit to her if he didn't MEAN IT. She's not a cat who half-asses anything, and she certainly wasn't going to be made a fool of.
Silver Sage's anxiety is pretty clinical, and I think he could benefit from medication or a good therapist. He's doing BETTER, and the Garden has been a good place for him to develop a bit of confidence. Little Crow was always appealing to him, but she came with a lot of commitment. As a guy who wasn't really prepared to make a big decision when he first joined, it was a bit intimidating. He definitely needed someone who was willing to be straightforward and make the first move. The thing that worries him most about her is her tendency to take on responsibility. For such an outwardly good humored cat, Little Crow can be very hard on herself, and will push herself to her limits to try to take care of absolutely everyone she can. Silver Sage knows she doesn't like to feel exposed, vulnerable, or weak, and that she will fixate on things she isn't able to control. He loves and admires her loyalty to her family and her Clan, but it does worry him that she is willing to to dig her heels in and go through so much. She would die for the cats she loves, and the thought of her dying makes him sick.
As for Silver Sage's backstory, I do have some stuff in the works. BUT you guys don't get to see it until after Moon 42. I THINK you'll get why when we get there. What you can know is that he is a bit more local, and probably grew up just south of the city (where Fig lives). He's not from any group, but was close to his mother growing up. When he met Little Crow, he was only half-traveling, and had no real destination in mind.
