Every time I think about Mars from Winplan, my head explodes

Am I the only one who loves characters because of how well written they are? A characters can have immense flaws, and hated by everyone but I still have compassion and empathy for them. It's not to say I will defend their wrong actions because I can't deny that at all, but still. This person is not just a bad person, they have dreams...they can smile and cry...they need hugs but also a chance to get down at their level and understand the core issue(s) of their behavior. Characters who are self aware, aware that they are a bad person but somehow they continue down this destructive road. And it pains them that they are aware. It all goes down to personal opinion so I know others may disagree with me, but I wanted to share my thoughts.
