i didn’t initially script bakugou as a s/o because i wasn’t sure how i felt about him at the time and wanted to see how things developed. first impressions are pretty much what you’d expect: he’s hot-headed, aggressive, and goal-oriented. he cares very little about making himself likable or going out of his way to make friends, which can make it difficult for people to approach. i used to catch myself watching him, especially during the moments when no one was bothering him and he was just relaxed and keeping to himself. i realized he’s actually pretty quiet when he isn’t putting on a front for an audience. there were all these little things about him that i found kind of funny, and a little cute tbh, because his behavior sometimes contradicts his personality: his table manners, how attentive he is to little details, the way he’ll fix things that are even slightly out of place. i still remember how he refused to make eye contact with me while holding my feet down for sit-ups (so endearing).

he used to treat me pretty similarly to todoroki, in the sense that i was mostly just another nuisance in his life he had to beat, but there was this one moment when i was doing my stretches wrong and he stopped what he was doing just to correct me. he basically told me that if my goal was to strain my muscles like a dumbass, then i was doing a great job. after that was when i started annoying the shit out of him on a daily basis. at some point i became borderline addicted to getting his attention. i would deliberately mess things up in his presence just so he’d scold me (yes i’m a loser ik) he figured out what i was doing and got pissed, asking me if i thought he was a joke </3 no. i want you.

the more i kind of just existed in his space, the more he started adapting it around me and accepting my presence in it. i genuinely think he’s one of the kindest people i’ve ever met.

nothing is stopping you. there isn’t some external force blocking you from shifting. it’s just you, holding onto thoughts, doubts, the need to “be perfect”, the need to find the “key”.

you keep adding steps, methods, conditions. you keep trying to understand it, control it, perfect it. but all of that is just noise.

shifting isn’t something you achieve through effort, it’s something you stop resisting.

so instead of asking “what else do i need to do?”

ask yourself: what am i holding onto that i don’t need?

nothing is in your way except the idea that something is.

drop it.
