basically my favorite thing to do is imagine The Character in some sort of situation of terrible emotional turmoil. it’s like enrichment for me

People will be like oh my god this character is the worst person in the world, they're awful, they're miserable, they're cruel, get a load of this asshole, and then you look inside and it's just a complex character who's genuinely rather balanced in their good and bad traits and decisions while not being entirely lawfully good aligned

the urge to write is like a cat meowing for dear life for someone to open the goddamn door, who then shows utter disinterest in said open door
