What’s up: I'm done with my latest uni teaching stretch, so it's time to focus on art and have some time off academic work.

Sales and shop news: New book alert!! I put together (almost) all of my obkk work from the last three years and the result is a 66-page book with commentary on all pieces. It will be out this weekend, so heads up!

A game I'm recommending: Sometimes I just want to play a quick horror game over the weekend, and Exit 8 was one that can be completed in an afternoon. It got us jumping and screaming, frustrated and so glad to finish. Looking forward to playing the sequel!

Manga I’m recommending: If you still haven't read The Summer Hikaru Died, a queer small town folk & eldritch horror manga, I really recommend to pick it up now! It will apparently be completed this year, so you still have time to hop on the wagon!

Music I'm recommending: Probably very few here like Finnish rap, but good boys is my new favourite group and their sunny and uplifting song ja peace! is fun despite all language barriers.

Hey! I've been reading for pleasure my whole life (when I was a kid I was convinced everyone read fiction books before bed because it was what we did at home 😄). Lately, I've been preoccupied with ubiquitous news reports on how reading comprehension skills persistently deteriorate, especially among the younger generations. So it got me wondering how people who do read for pleasure manage to keep the habit of reading alive "in this economy" 👀

Do you mostly read fiction or non-fiction?

Is reading for pleasure part of your daily routine? If so, how much time a day do you spend on reading?

Do you often binge books?

Describe your average reading session 😁(Do you have a special spot where you get comfortable/is it a hard copy or an e-book/is it day or night etc.)

Do you have a schedule or do you read when you feel like reading?

Have you ever struggled with reading (e.g. issues with concentration/retaining information, learning disabilities etc.) and how did you manage to overcome it?

Can you read multiple books at once?

If you're multilingual, do you intentionally choose to regularly read books in your target language(s) to maintain language proficiency? Is it a habit too, or is it a matter of the book's original language?
