Desired Role: Bridget Upton Second Choice Role: Elise Mayfield  Describe the character in your own words: Because she was never noticed or given attention (even when she hoped for it), Bridget doesn’t think herself deserving of ‘normal’. Of course she’d have to enter into a relationship with a man who is already married to another woman; there’s no way she’d ever find someone who was willing and able to love her and only her fully and publicly. And because she’s so quiet and prefers the company of books to people, she comes across as awkward in conversation, constantly wondering if what she’s saying is correct. Sometimes, she’ll get a burst of confidence (usually gifted to her by Michael) and be able to play the role perfectly, smiling and waving to people on the street as if the world were her kingdom. More often, she’ll simply walk by and say or do nothing; she’ll hide her face in the pages of a book instead of making conversation. Ever since high school she fantasized about being able to be like other girls. She’d daydream of days when she’d dress like them, do her makeup like them, talk like them, socialize in their circle. Yet every day she still picked the same practical clothes, went bare-faced, kept quiet, and hung back with the other loners. No matter how much she wanted to assimilate, she couldn’t. There was something about her that just rejected that. She was the round peg trying to fit into a square hole, and that doomed her to lonerdom. Not even a move to Maddox changed that. She feels more at home in the small town than ever before, but she’s still no social butterfly—-often confined to the library, her only real friends are the ones who have always been by her side: the books (and any frequenters).

HEADCANONS:  - She tells herself she cares nothing for beauty and isn’t superficial at all, but she’s also very insecure (about that and other things). - She actually has legitimate social anxiety (she’s scared of asking questions, ordering food, walking through crowded areas, etc), but usually powers through it.  - She’s an only child.

A special day — just us, in a hotel. He’d told his wife he had to leave for a day for business, and so they’d have their moment. They’d probably even momentarily feel normal — but always, in the pit of her stomach, Bridget would know what she was doing. She, the mistress.  Bridget’s oval face was reflected in the similar oval of the mirror, brown eyes heavily lashed and lips full and red. Bridget shoved her shirt into the waistband of her jeans, beginning to press light switches and pull window treatments closed. She made up a small duffel bag with her necessities. Her toothbrush and floss made their way in, as well as a note, which she picked up from her bedside table, fingering the torn corner with sentimentality.

Desired Role: Kaleigh Jacobs Second Choice Role: Margaret Johnson.  Describe the character in your own words: Kaleigh is one of those people that is simply a joy to be around. She’s lovely to nigh on everyone and, despite working in utter chaos, she seems to always have things sorted out for herself. She can seem very dreamy or even ditzy at times but in reality, she’s a very bright and intelligent woman who has a flair for all things artistic. When it comes to her work, Kaleigh is incredibly passionate about what she does and if she goes off in a tangent about her latest job, it’s incredibly hard to shut her up. Whenever someone looks at her, it’s not unusual to see her with a pencil shoved through her hair and small tester squares of paint on her hands where she ran out of space on whatever scrap of paper she had salvaged at the time. Due to the passion she holds for her work, she can be quite particular about how she does things there, a thing that most people find comical due to how messy her work space looks. But to Kaleigh, she has a very specific style of working that she likes to call ‘organised chaos’.  Para sample: Singing to herself as she weaved through stacks of fabric samples, Kaleigh continued on her hunt for the paint tester she was sure she had brought into her studio with her. “Royal blue…cerulean…navy…ugh, where is it?” She muttered to herself, brow furrowing as she slid things aside. Finally she let out a victorious cheer as she picked up the tiny pot of aquamarine paint. She painted a small square onto her folio board, right next to the square of peach paint she had added only a few moments ago. She always had loved that colour combination - especially for summer weddings such as the one she was planning. Another few moments of searching yielded a scrap of the aqua and white chevron fabric she had been looking for. “Perfect.” Kaleigh grinned to herself, adjusting the bull clip that was currently holding brunette waves away from her face. 

Quickly, she began to gather the research photos she had printed off and arranged them carefully upon the canvas, taking a few steps back before shaking her head and reorganizing them. They had to be perfect after all. It took her only a moment to locate the place cards she had designed last night and carefully pinned them on as well. This job was going much better than she had originally expected. The client had seemed demanding at first but, now that Kaleigh had broken down all of her requests, it seemed easy to collate them all now. Grabbing her best calligraphy pen, she inked out some simple lines for the wedding invitation in various suggested fonts, biting on her lower lip in concentration as she did so. Another few photos of suggested bouquets - mainly tulips, peonies and some garden roses - and Kaleigh was finally happy with the initial design board. Now to source some destinations. With a sigh, she drew her pen out from behind her ear and was just about to pull up her web browser when she spotted the time. Madeline would be home fairly soon and Kaleigh had wanted to grab some snacks for the pair of them. She had been planning on a movie night tonight.

Age when changed: 17 Turned willingly or forced: Was turned as a form of twisted revenge. If they have a daylight ring or not: Travels with a daylight ring. Character’s Past:

Max probably had the worst childhood one can imagine, not that that’s any news around Maddox. Pretty much everyone that lived there knew what happened. Max was the boy with an abusive father, one that would beat him practically daily until he left when he was five years old. Then his mother turned on him, blaming him for her lover leaving her, abusing him in whole new ways. She turned to drugs to keep herself sane, but each day she drove Max further and further into insanity. Pushing him with cruel words and horrible conditions, Max became a broken boy. It wasn’t until he was sixteen years old and his mother ended her own life that he really had the chance to live.

A year after that, the comet came down. Sure, to him it was just a hunk of rock. A cool hunk of rock, but a hunk of rock all the same. What it brought with it was something else all together. With that comet coming down, Max was introduced to the world of the supernatural. He met people he would fall in love with, others that would become his enemies. He made friends and lost friends, learned of his father’s hunter family tree, found a new family in Jolene Groves and her husband Alexei Morevna. But the biggest change to Max’s life came in the form of Edward Homer.

The vampire was friends with a certain imp that wanted Max’s girlfriend at the time and, soon enough, Max found himself being attacked. But instead of killing him, Edward turned him into one of them. Something Max had wrestled with the idea of becoming for a long time.. But his choice was taken away from him. To say Max reacted poorly to his turning was an understatement. He was the example of poor self control, losing himself to the blood-lust on more than one occasion.

It came to the point where Max had to make a decision. He had to teach himself control, to protect those he cared about. So, about a month and a half ago, Max left Maddox. He used the guise of going to college as his cover, but instead has traveled the world, searching for ways to control the monster that he is.. And he’s found them. After starving himself and putting himself through hell on Earth, he’d found his middle ground.

Character’s Present: 

Finally trusting himself to be around those he cares about, Max has decided to return to Maddox. As much as he’s loved traveling, Maddox is his home and where his family is. To say that he missed them would have been an understatement. Plus, the idea of coming home as a legal adult isn’t too bad either, at least to him. He wants to try and live a quiet life now, resisting the urges that being a vampire gives him.. Hopefully.

Personality: 

Max has come a long way. The boy that used to be painfully shy is now a people person.. For the most part. He’s still a little awkward and careful around new people, but once he lets someone in, he’ll never abandon them. Max has the capacity to care for just about everyone he meets and won’t hate someone without an extremely good reason. He can be a bit reckless at times, but so can any teenager and he’s fiercely defensive of those he loves. His childhood left him emotionally damaged, making it hard for him to differentiate friendship from more sometimes, but he’d like to think he’s got a handle on it now.. Besides, love definitely isn’t a priority for him anymore.

Relationship Ideas: 

Is the adopted son of Jolene Groves and Alexei Morevna. He loves them both to death, even if he is a bit closer to Jo than his new father figure. But being in town again, he wants to change that.

Extremely close with Alice McGuire, someone who went from dating his old bully to becoming his best friend. She had a bit of trouble adjusting to his vampire status, but leaving her was harder than anyone else in town.

Sometimes still looks at Colette Dubois as his “epic love”, but knows that their time has come and passed. If he gets the chance to see her, he wants the opportunity to be her friend.

Spent a lot of his life being bullied by Preston Joyce, but before he left the two seemed to come to at least a mutual understanding. He won’t fool himself into thinking they’re friends, but he knows that he can at least go to Preston if he needs to.

Is the younger half-sibling of both Seraphine Nelson and Jason Nelson on his father’s side. He has no idea who Jason is however, but has also gotten to know Ophelia Nelson-Marsh a little during her time in Maddox.. Though Archie Nelson creeps him out.

Also plans on reconnecting with his friends Diana Rudd, William Rudd, Maggie Waverly and Annemarie Dillard if he can. Though he knows some may not have forgiven him for leaving.

How they’ll fit in: Max was once a pretty well known face around town way back when and I know he’s made a lot of important connections there. Plus who doesn’t want to see Colin’s face around? Para Sample: 

Max stood at the airport, staring at the outgoing flights screen. He was just waiting and waiting to see that fateful one pop up for Philadelphia, to show him the way back home. It had been a long while since he had even considered going back, but he knew he was ready. He could feel it in his bones, passed the hunger that rumbled deep within him whenever he heard a heartbeat. All he had to do was think of them as a person and not just food. They lived. They weren’t something he could just extinguish. They had a life and family and God knows what going on in their lives. It wasn’t his place to end that. It wasn’t anyone’s place.

He raised his phone to his eyes, flipping through old pictures. He felt an odd sense of excitement course through him as he thought of seeing everyone again. Jo, Alexei, Will, Diana, Alice.. He just hoped they wouldn’t be too upset with him for going so long without writing. He chuckled a little. Well, he knew Diana would be pissed but.. She’d come around. She always did. He felt that dull ache of loneliness and shoved it away. He wouldn’t be lonely anymore.

And that was when it popped up. Gate 52. He smiled to himself, waved goodbye to Tibet, and made his way towards the terminal.
