It is interesting how our perception changes when we have a fully developed prefrontal cortex. About this, my perception of some scenes has completely changed.

First, Momo's first appearance involves the way she deals with her friends, and Hitsugaya's first line is directed to her. At first, it seems that she is a character with a universe and relationships more expanded than Toshiro himself.

Her first impulse is to question an injustice regarding her friend Renji, even before someone higher in Ranking. Unlike her, Izuru's reaction to the same situation is completely different. So, we see a young, empathetic girl with a very strong moral compass, who is not afraid to question others for what she believes is right.

At the same time, I did not remember her short coexistence with Aizen being so strange. In the anime and the manga, the bedroom scene is portrayed quite differently, in fact, the clothing and the entire context of the scene was modified in the anime, I believe the studio was aware that it would generate controversies. It is evident that Momo harbors feelings, even if platonic, for Aizen, feelings that are fed by him, in ambiguous words and gestures. The other shinigami, in this context, seem to be aware of the situation. Hitsugaya, for his part, seems to adopt a posture of understanding and distancing. In the manga, Hitsugaya even remarks that, when Momo created this goal upon meeting Aizen, she started to visit him less and less. The type of inevitable distancing that ends up affecting people, no matter how close they are.
