A ripperdoc….that’s a doctor…right? What the heck is all– 

His eyebrows shot to his hairline as they keep. Going.

“I know of a couple of people, but you don’t want them, they’re the bad kind of shady. What you want is an info broker.”

He frames his face with his hands.

“And you found one.”

V didn’t think there was a good kind of shady... shady was shady, but they perked a brow at the way this guy put himself on a platter. Optics look him up and down with a little more scrutiny.

        the place she had found herself in, was… strange. though it was true ahsoka had been to almost too many planets, too many worlds, to count, and thought she had seen all there was to see, it was equally true that the place she had found herself in was just strange. though in some ways it looked similar to coruscant, with its high-reaching buildings and endless stream of people, there were also places that reminded ahsoka of kashyyyk, of felucia, of naboo and tatooine. sprawling fields, endless sands, crawling jungles, gentle forests. the city seemed to live side-by-side with every biome imaginable, and ahsoka couldn’t help but be fascinated. even as her mind flipped between strategies and ideas to escape, she couldn’t help but admit the wonder of the place she had arrived at.

    and yet, after a full day’s exploration, she had to admit that even a jedi had to succumb to tiredness eventually. to sore feet and weary muscles. and so it was while she sat, legs crossed beneath her and hands resting on her knees, that she gazed out upon the fountain before her.

    and, subsequently, witnessed the person who tripped and made a fantastic splash as they tumbled head over heels into the clear water.

    ahsoka couldn’t help the snort that escaped her, hand flying to her mouth in an attempt to smother it. hopefully, the unfortunate person hadn’t heard.

"Fuck!" Nevermind how it happened. V wasn't typically a clumsy person but could still get distracted enough to do something as embarrassing as this once in awhile. The water of the fountain was FREEZING cold, effectively waking up the half asleep stupor they might have been in. Johnny was laughing, thought you should get sleep. Yeah, whatever.

V pulls up and rolls out of the fountain with more grace than one would think, especially for someone who had just tumbled into it. Clothes, soaked to their socks and hair effectively deflated. It made this extra annoying. Bi-color optics glance up at the source of a snort, a hushed laugh at their expense, V frowns at this person. 

Klavier couldn’t help it but get a little bit flustered as they call him out. Of course the stranger was right. Klavier had been staring - not on purpose or for the sake of staring, no. He’s not the kind of person to judge others based on their looks.

Oh, ja, of course. I uh… I’m sorry for staring.

And I also wanted to say… those tattoos of yours? They look really cool. I couldn’t help but stare at them. 

Or the mohawk. Or the whole look they wore. Really, if they were still back home, Klavier would call a photographer who was also a good friend of his, explaining to him that he found a new, interesting model.

My name’s Klavier. Klavier Gavin. Again, I am sorry if my staring made you feel uncomfortable. But a look like yours… it’s rare. But also very exciting.

With a tilt of their head V watches the male get flustered over something so commonplace in NC. This was a weird reminder that they were in a place completely different. “Thanks?” 

“You didn’t make me uncomfortable, though I gotta say it’s been awhile since someone looked at me like that.” They give a shrug. “Rare huh... if you think this is exciting I wonder what you’d think of Malestorm. This chrome is pretty subtle where I’m from.” V pauses to look him up and down, he seemed bare- though it wasn’t like they could see through his clothing. Judging from his expression though it was easy to assume he had no ink or scarring. 

Okay Eddies…is money? And building a name is obviously a reputation, that makes sense…is a fixer like…

“A fixer as in tech or…?” Just kind of putting that out there in case they’re looking for something else.

“I’m Badou. I’ll probably be able to help you find some stuff.”

“Huh?” Their brow furrows as they look at him and lift the cigarette to take a drag. He didn’t know what a FIXER was? Some tech repair might be a good guess.. maybe this profession went by a different name here. They huff out smoke.

No matter where you were in the world there was always a shark preying on people. There was always CORPOS taking advantage, acting better than the rest... it wasn't just Johnny Silverhands influence... V never liked authority types - which was why they were currently face-to-face with a bald man a whole foot and five inches taller. "Come on cue-ball, I can stand here all night." they taunted, practically begging for a fight to break out.

"You wanna call me a bitch, well this bitch bites."

He lets out a little chuckle. Knows the feeling. Cigarettes are so expensive and can be annoying but for that one little spark of nicotine, that little rush that makes everything, just for that clear, precise moment, better. 

“No you don’t,” he replies to them with a nod. Followed by, “Yeah, I’ve been here a long time. You just got here, yeah?”

This guy’s voice echoes Johnny and it makes them take a bit of a longer look. That and of course the answer given. Here a long time. V puts their attention back on the cigarette, watching it burn away ever so slowly. “That obvious?” they question, though the deduction makes sense when asking if someone was local or not. 

        THERE WAS A PRICE FOR INTERFERING WITH HIS PLANS, and he would see it paid in blood. fury besets his stride, the salty sea air whipping through his cloak, tailing him like a shadow, before he slows to a pause. rage wells up within, and for a moment he is stilled by it, before pulling the child’s toy from his belt to examine it in silence. he is addressed by a voice aside, and scarcely peering toward the other, kylo ren lashes its blade against the wall beside him, shattering it with a loud CRACK.

        noting what remained gripped tightly in a gloved hand, he then remarked somehow breathlessly, and in bitter tones, ❝  … SO IT WOULD SEEM.  ❞

A brow perks as the plastic toy is raised and then shattered against the wall, little plastic shards dropping to the ground. V taps their own replacement into the palm of their hand. “Well fuck, there it goes.” they mutter half amused.

Badou’s actually contemplating those corndogs down the street, but at the same time the thought of hotdog in bread doesn’t sound the most appetizing. He could do better, maybe. So he’s a little distracted when they approach, his attention shifting after a moment from cigarette to their face. 

He fetches a little plastic lighter from his coat pocket and makes to toss it their way.

“Go ahead.”

They’re someone he doesn’t recognize. Someone new, he wonders.

They snatch the lighter tossed their way. “Thaanks.” V steps to his side and leans against the wall as they hold the cigarette to their lips and light it. They inhale. Fuuck yes. And exhale. “Ugh... hate this shit.” No you don’t. With a sigh V hands the lighter back.

One of the things that Klavier was very interested in was fashion. Not just the fashion that you would see on the front page of a fashion magazine but also the kind of fashion that people wore on the street.

Their personal styles.

Yet, sometimes that personal style could appear a little bit frightening. Especially when it came to punks Klavier felt a chill when he realized that he had been staring at them for too long. He didn’t want to get into troubles.

I-I’m sorry! I didn’t meant to stare!

Uhh, please don’t hurt me.

There are a number of reasons someone would stare at V. Number one, that bright ass MOHAWK that they were damn proud of or number two, the colorful array of TATTOOS on their arms and exposed mid-drift - which was just a taste of the ink they wore. The less obvious might be the TECH SCARS on their face and forearms or the number of PIERCINGS they had. Whatever it was, they weren’t used to a look like this, not in a long time. This look was pretty normal in Night City.

“You got a shitty replacement too? .. least I’m not the only one dealing with bullshit like this. An’ yours looks like cheaper shit than mine.” The merc observes and lifts the wooden sword up to tests it’s durability. Pretty solid.. could at least knock some heads around if needed. 

V, you smell that? The image of Johnny Silverhand stands with his back against the wall of a building at the corner of the street. They glance at him and take a deep inhale- less pissy and trashy than Watson.. corndogs somewhere down the street but they doubted that’s what he meant- the second they catch a whiff of that smoke they sigh.

“You’re gettin me into some real bad habits..” V grumbles. Cause you’re just a glowing example of good habits. His voice rings with extra sarcasm. Eyes roll at the retort and V pats their pockets down, hitting something in the front they pull out a cigarette case.. Poor Eve... yeah yeah poor Eve ask ‘im if he’s got a light. 

V pulls a cigarette out of the case and approaches the redhead. “Yo, got a light I could borrow? ‘m all out.” They say as they wag the cigarette at him.

Looks like we’re not in Kansas anymore Toto...

“What?” Nevermind.
