People often underestimate Vin's intelligence and focus on his brawn but he is a more than competent engineer, a good tactician and a skilled computer and robotics technician.

He applies his intelligence to practical things best, as that is what holds his attention. He's not a philosopher, though he is an artist.

Will it end in tears? No, not this time... There's plenty of others that can end in tears.

Power comes with paranoia, Abnur has long since learned to trust his instinct on matters regarding this. He can’t help but take notice of this off feeling as he’s trying to navigate his way through the Archimedes district. It’s the familiar sense that his actions are not kept to him alone, that his path is not just his own. He moved off to the side, leaning against a building, and observed the crowd. One girl stands out, species unfamiliar.

“It seems to have affected every area obtainable by the citizens of the city.” A pause as he lowers a hand from his cowl- he forgets he also lacks the tech installed in his suit to record his findings. Analyzation aloud had been a habit built over several years... he’d sooner obtain his tech than break the habit of talking out loud. A grumble. 

The dark mass of his suit drops down after checking the crystalized trees, to look closing at an indent on the surface. One that is shaped like a large foot. “Whatever made this must also be crystalized.” He reaches out with a gloved hand to brush it into the print finding loosened diamonds, which he gathers up- there some rather large chunks.

In the process of collecting, he senses a presence and stands to turn and find someone trying to push through the bushes that were now mounds of diamond.

“Hm.”

Lowering her head so that she appears smaller and less intimidating, Sif slowly approaches the young one, tail wagging in a friendly manner. With most of the forest being covered in crystal, her sense of smell is heightened by the lack of interference; even at this distance she can detect the aroma of the strange pup’s soul.

Though she is not a species familiar to the great wolf, Sif can tell that the other is young because her soul shines bright. She has nary a trace of the darkness one would find on an adult’s soul. So... what is one so young doing so far from the city in these conditions?

Sif sits down in front of her, tilting her head to the side. She can’t ask any specifics, her inability to write on the ground effectively rendering her mute, but she hopes the general air of curiosity comes across. So preoccupied was she, that she didn’t notice the crystal giant - one her height - until it was nearly upon them. 

Pinning her ears back, she jumps to her feet and stands between the pup and her new enemy, growling at it ferociously. She quickly draws her sword and leaps at it, driving it back. 

Then, the monster steadies itself - shattering the crystal floor under its feet - and pushes back against the blade with all its strength.
