Those whose hearts tremble at the remembrance of Allah, who patiently endure whatever may befall them, and who establish prayer and donate from what We have provided for them.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

"The people who are lazy are more generally found to be plagued by concerns, worries, and low spirits. They rarely find delight and joy in their condition as opposed to those who are committed to putting forth efforts and working in their affairs."

Ibn al-Jawzī raḥimahullāh said:

"If you are intending to commit a sin, remember the day you will be put in a coffin."

Allah says:

“Those who do not know say, ‘Why does Allah not speak to us or there come to us a sign?’ Thus spoke those before them like their words. Their hearts resemble each other. We have shown clearly the signs to a people who are certain [in faith].” 

(2:118)

You’re never forgotten and you won’t be!

The womb that carried you, won’t forget you. The blood you shared with your family won’t forget you. The friend you shared a meal, laughter, or even simple interactions, won’t forget you. The stranger you shared a smile with or that random act of kindness you did to them, won’t be forgotten.

You matter and your life matters. Talk to someone, you’d be amazed how much you’re valued and how much your presence is appreciated. As humans, we tend to overlook and/or forget to say how we feel about someone. People around you may not say it enough but trust me, your presence matters.

Please talk to someone who genuinely care. People do care. As much as we desperately need that love, we also forget to show it to those we love.

“I love you”, “I care about you”, “you’re important to me”, “you’re never a burden”, “you won’t be forgotten”
