“Disagree,” Ben said, even though he wasn’t there and had instead continued building R2D2 despite promising Adam he would wait, “if Spiderman was a hero he would have given the robbers the money. You don’t know their situation.”

Finally, somebody looked up to see Adam’s offended face (and hopefully his bruises to offer some sympathy). Unfortunately, it was just Sam, who was nodding sagely and wouldn’t care anyway. “He’s right. There’s an affordability crisis right now. It’s kind of a dick move to deny them money.”

One would assume that hearing these comments from his best friends/roommates would be easier the 700th time they said them. Apparently, though, having arachnid DNA also meant you were incredibly susceptible to ragebait.
