Something that drives me absolutely completely wild about the grocery store fight, and Eddie's whole reaction to the lawsuit really, is that everything comes down to the fact that Eddie misses Buck but doesn't know what to do about it. Dude so got used to Buck imprinted on him like a baby duck that he had no idea how to cope when he needed help and Buck wasn't there to offer it before he had to ask. It drives me CRAZY the way he brings up Christopher so he wouldn't have to say he misses Buck because at the end of the day Buck doesn't really have a responsibility to Chris or Eddie. He cares about them both a lot but he doesn't have to think about them when making decisions about his life. And Eddie is so used to being a priority for Buck he had no clue how to act without him and that's so wild. Buck is impulsive and he goes straight to worst case scenarios and he doesn't always thinks things through but Buck is also the furthest thing from selfish you can get but Eddie can't handle that Buck didn't consider him while deciding something. And add that to the way that Eddie probably found out about the lawsuit and that he couldn't talk to Buck during morning briefing before he got a subpoena about it. Dude was just completely thrown off balance and that's fascinating. The abandonment issues really popped off there.
