“We were all a bit of a mess last night and it doesn’t need to be talked about.” There were certain aspects that Ellie, of all people, wished to forget. “Just like high school, we all come back Monday morning and pretend it never happened.”
“That is very true. I mean, some of us were worse than others, but that doesn’t really matter.” Nicola didn’t have the fun that she expected to have, but she couldn’t exactly blame that on anyone else. “I like how now our pretending consists of everybody glaring at one another. It’s hard to hide all of the grumpy that’s happening.”
