For the briefest of moments, Ellie’s stomach lurched at the sensation of the car beneath their bodies rumbling to life and peeling away from the security of the parking lot. Perhaps it was adrenaline, the racing anticipation of behaving well beyond her norms. “What?!” A peal of laughter fell from her lips as she extended one palm in his direction, only repealing it once his phone was within her grasp. “Is it acceptable to call your grandmother or is she off limits?” Scrolling through his contacts, she eventually came to rest on a vague title. “Let’s hopeBethany doesn’t mind a little prank calling.”
Lifting the phone to her ear, she awaiting a ring or two before a female voice answered. “Hi, is this Bethany? Oh thank god… Look, this is really weird since I’m obviously not Wyatt and clearly you were hoping to hear from him.” Placing her hand against the phone, she tilted it away to mouth ‘you’re awful’ in Wyatt’s direction. “So there might have been a mix up. Apparently the last time you saw him, Wyatt gave you my underwear by mistake… I know, I know. It’s crazy, but he swears it was you and now I’m out here without anything under my skirt because that was my only pair, and–” The hum of a dial tone sent Ellie into another bout of laughter.
He enjoyed the rush he always got when he did something he wasn’t supposed to. Not that he thought much on it now, it was just second nature to him. Wyatt wasn’t in the habit of stealing cars though, he generally jacked things out or off of them."I’d be okay with it,” he remarked, knowing that number wasn’t in there. Wyatt didn’t really know any of his family beyond his mom and.. good luck calling a dead person. When he said the name he nearly warned her off but instead smirked, watching. It was hilarious.. down to the whole not wearing underwear now thing. “Cross your fingers that Bethany doesn’t track you down..” He joked, unable to help laughing a little with her.
