This is my parent's house, it's story is pretty remarkable. The house was originally built in the late 1930's as an in-ground home, with plans to add one or two more floors. When the US entered WWII in 1941, materials became short and the plans to add more floors were never realized. My parents purchased the property next to it in 1991, where they opened a small gift shop- eventually turning it into a full restaurant. In 1997 they purchased this property as well, and rented out the in-ground house. In 2005 they renovated the in-ground house and moved in, and in 2008- 70 years after the plans and foundation were laid- the final two floors were added. Sometimes it just takes time for plans to be fulfilled, but when they are they are often more than we expected. (Taken with Instagram at Miss Tami's)

My first car: '77 #Chevy #Camaro. It had the 255cu.in. straight six with a 3spd manual transmission. My dad bought it brand new a week before he married my mom, and, yes the #Firebird graphics were stock from Chevy. The thermostat went out and the engine seized about 13 years ago and it's been sitting since. Great memories with this car! (Taken with instagram)
