Something so depressing to me is how by the time of the crash Molly was STILL 8. Her birthday was in August. And considering the crash being in May there was around 3 months until her birthday and, with how young she was, she probably had been planning it. There’s a real chance Jack and Rose bought stuff for her birthday and, after the crash just. Had it. That would be so devastating. Like they could have hidden gifts in the closet and had to deal with it never being opened by her. Which they either A. Never DID open it, or B. They opened it at their funeral so she could look at some of the gifts she was going to get. I honestly don’t know which is more depressing. And like Sophie probably was so excited to surprise Molly on her birthday too, I mean it seems she had a good relationship with both Edd and Molly and, now she had to deal with never being able to surprise her on her birthday. Or really ever surprise them ever again. I mean Jack and Rose had to think about how they would never be able to buy any more gifts for Edd and Molly, birthdays, Christmas, no more Easter baskets or hunts. Nothing. And Sophie would never be able to graduate with them cheering her on. Hell Jack and Rose couldn’t come to her high-school graduation either. She had to walk the stage with really no family cheering her on. Friends? Maybe. Maybe Rose’s sister, but that’s her aunt, not her mom, not her dad, neither of her siblings. She was truly alone. Plus we have no idea what her relationship with Rose’s sister was, she honestly might have had a bit of a grudge because maybe to her, she was trying to replace her mom.

Something I missed that was pointed out to me in the comments was the fact Edd’s 12th was in THIRTEEN DAYS??? That’s so bad, they probably had BOTH of their gifts in like the closet man. I did at first think he would have been 13 (I was relooking at the tweet and thought it said 1961) which would have been so much worse since that’s like a decently big birthday bc your officially a teenager, I mean either way he was probably so excited because like, he had his birthday in under 2 weeks and was so close to being a teenager. And thinking of that Jack and Rose were probably so devastated because like, they only got to see one of their babies become a teenager. And Sophie probably would have been excited to watch her little brother officially become a teenager, she probably would have wished to celebrate it. Plus the rest of the family was alive for Edd’s, that must have been so depressing, I mean Sophie had to have been so depressed on Molly’s because she would have been completely alone, which probably felt so weird for her, honestly both would have felt weird generally because it was much more lonely.
