In the reborn movie Ao Bing pretty much gets everything he wants because he's rich. So how would he react to someone he's taken an interest in being able to evade him in every situation despite all his hitmen with him. Then after some time they say " sorry kid, despite being rich this is the one thing you can't have, later!" Then proceeds to leave like always.
Catch Me If You Can | Ao Bing De
I had fun with more of the beginning, as you can tell lol this will be 2071 words excluding the a/n! Hope you enjoy!
WARNING ⚠️ there will be cussing. I did my best to write a gn reader but if i slipped lmk :(
We all know Ao Bing is a ‘Daddy's money’ guy, so of course he was never told no by his father. He would get whatever he wanted if he looked at it for a second too long, and that's what made life seem easy.
A bit too easy, but it meant he didn't have to put up a fight for what he wanted.
So when Ao Bing decided that he wanted to take a late night drive through the lavish city he called home, he expected the same routine of coming back home with whatever he wanted.
Only two motorcycles followed behind him, his hitmen shadows that would only make themselves known if anyone tried to start an issue with Ao Bing. For now, they'd ride a certain distance behind, their lights off so that Ao Bing could enjoy his faux solo ride.
A faint cloud of smoke seeped from between Ao Bing's teeth, a pitiful attempt to cloud the neon lights that harshly shined down on him from every angle. Each one advertised something, whether it be jewelry, fashion, or even women, the city had what you wanted.
The young man had grown up in this life, thrived in it, even rolled in the dirty money that came from monopolizing it. After so many years of getting everything he wanted, Ao Bing was practically bored to death.
For once, he wanted to sink his teeth into something that put up a fight. He wanted to satisfy the dragon within him and catch something that would actually run. No, he needed to take from something that wasn't already lying itself on a silver platter for him.
For once, Ao Bing wanted to experience the thrill of a chase.
But he knew better than to expect that. As the infamous son of a merciless killer that no one would dare defy, Ao Bing knew that defiance was never found in his path. People showed their stomachs to him too easily, pitiful wins that irritated him down to his soul.
Of course, because Ao Bing was neck deep into his own self pity, he didn't know his foot was still on the pedal until a voice snapped him out of it.
“Aye! Watch where you're going!”
He immediately slammed down on the brakes, odd because he never bothered with such a thing. Eyes wide and stunned, Ao Bing had to take a moment to process what he was looking at.
There you stood, bathed in the harsh colors of the city, yet matching the wonder of first seeing the rainbow in an oil spill. Leather was the main consistency of your outfit, some parts commenting on your figure and others hiding it. It also reflected many colors, though it wasn't very flashy.
Even as you seethed from the front of his car, Ao Bing was amazed that a single person could be so pretty.
However, Ao Bing had to lock in when you sent a kick to his bumper, strong enough that it shook his car. You didn't even have a ride, but you were brave enough to flip him the bird as you stormed off, revealing your fingerless gloves and (f/c) nail polish.
From the rearview mirror, Ao Bing saw the lights of two motorcycles come alive. Realization struck his core, and his hand shot up to halt their movements. Like obedient dogs, the lights were instantly shut off even as he got out of his car.
“Hey! Wait a minute!” Ao Bing tossed his cigarette to the floor, no longer interested in the weak highs it provided. He was a meter or two from his car, almost the exact midpoint between the vehicle and your fuming figure.
By some stroke of rich boy luck, you stopped in your tracks, though your frown deepened when you turned around.
Goodness, you were gorgeous. There was no way you were a plain human, you had to be some mythical creature.
That only motivated the asshole in Ao Bing to act up. A smirk took over his lips, and he found himself looking you up and down. Maybe a night with you could fix his bad mood…
“What the fuck you want?” You snapped, resting a fist on your hip and shifting your weight to one side. The snappy attitude you had only enticed the De clan heir into getting you in his clutches.
He patted off imaginary dust from his shirt, that damn smirk remaining because he was so sure your attitude was just for show. “You seem a little tense there, don't you?” Ao Bing nodded in your direction, gesturing to your entire body as he took a few steps towards you.
He only continued when you only raised a judging brow at him in response. “Well my passenger seat is empty, and I got a card that's begging to be spent tonight. It seems we both have a problem.”
Now you were in Ao Bing's reach, and he almost expressed his surprise to find that you somehow got even prettier up close. He'd be a fool to let you go right now!
A huff of amusement escaped your lips, “Are you serious right now?” Your voice was much lower compared to your raspy shouts from earlier. “You almost ran me over and now you think I'm gonna put out?” The way your voice curled at the end of your sentences was no different from how steam pools into a shower.
Ao Bing was sure that you were the whole package now.
“Come on, sweetheart.” His brows rose as he faked a hint of a pout, his arms reaching out for your waist since you were right there. “Lemme make it up to you with as many drinks as you want.” His voice was low, attempting to attract you with the softness of his tone.
Much to Ao Bing's surprise, you took a step forward. The ghost of a few inches came between you two, and your warmth began to overwhelm his cold. Oh, he was so excited, but he couldn't let it show yet!
“I think I know what you want.” Sweet purrs poured from your lips, a conquerable distance from his own. “And I think you're asking for it.”
“Yeah?” Ao Bing whispered back in his own seductive manner. He was so ready to take you home for the night, so used to the routine of getting someone to give in and practically throw themselves on his bed. It was the exact thing Ao Bing was complaining to himself about just moments before, but he'd fix that another day.
However, he couldn't even think of his next move before a mean left hook connected with his jaw. White flashed his vision upon impact, but it returned to normal faster than he could process, despite the hazy aftermath. A small pained groan tried to escape him, but Ao Bing's pride muted it behind tight lips.
Then your voice reached his ears before he could even catch a moment.
“Do I look stupid to you?!” You hissed, flicking your wrist to ease the pain in your knuckles, “You make the De Clan look as if they're new money!” Shoving him back by his shoulders, you watched with disappointment as the man fell on his bum.
Ao Bing didn't even know how to react, honestly. Never before has a rando been brave enough to put their hands on him! His heart was racing, nearly hiding the pain in his jaw while he stared up at you. Was this… what he was asking for?
Though it was against your better judgement, you spat at the ground between you two before storming off in your original path. Maybe you could forget the stench of the cigarettes in his breath if you got further away.
But the moment you heard those motorcycles rev up from behind you, the image of a peaceful night disappeared from your mind entirely.
‘Oh, BROTHER.’ Your groan echoed in your head, and you let your feet take you down the alley behind you. This was gonna be a bit of a chase, since you were at the disadvantage with no vehicle, but your legs hadn't failed a chase yet. “Catch me if you can!” You squealed, the sound bouncing off the alley walls.
You had only made one sharp turn before hearing Ao Bing's car come back to life. Leaping over a barricade of wooden crates, your brows furrowed at the sound.
There was no way that guy was gonna try and drive through the alley! Sure it was just barely big enough, but with all the obstacles and tight turns, you would've thought he'd have half a brain to just wait outside.
Then again, you just denied a mafia heir what he wanted, chances are you wouldn't live to tell that tale.
However, you had an advantage over that city royalty jackass. While he considered this place to be his territory, it was also your home. Between the two of you, which one flaunts their badges and which one melts them for knives?
Every turn was from memory, every crate had been dodged before, every puddle was only disturbed by the reckless wheels of your chasers. Farther and farther the distance became, and it got to a point where the hitmen and Ao Bing could only catch a glimpse of your shadow in the darkness of the alley.
They came to a pitiful stop, and Ao Bing slammed his fist against the wheel with a flurry of familiar and foreign emotions. Frustration and embarrassment swirled around each other like curious koi in a pool of what Ao Bing could only describe as desire.
No longer was it the desire to bed you, or even the desire to romance you. No, Ao Bing wanted to catch you and hold you in his grasp the way a wolf seizes the rabbit.
His deepened sneer disappeared, a faint laugh escaping him at the realization of what just happened. Ao Bing cared not for the gaze shared between his two hitmen as he slicked his rebellious strands of hair back.
Ao Bing was finally given a chase that not only fought back, but outran him. What was believed to be impossible to find had quite literally struck him moments later! Oh how lucky was he!
Even when you managed to keep outrunning Ao Bing, even as the number of hitmen doubled each time, the De Clan heir could only laugh at each time you slipped through his fingers. Only you could accomplish such a feat, proving his insanity over and over.
Now, as you managed to knock out all the hitmen Ao Bing sent your way, he leaned against the wall of yet another alley. An ironic place to be, where you first outran him and proved yourself a worthy prey.
“Don't you get tired, sweetheart?” Ao Bing sighed, nudging the face of an unconscious hitman with his shoe. “I just don't get it. All this running and fighting, when you could be living it nice!” He softly explained as he smoothly stepped over his bodyguards and made his way to you.
With the sweetest and delighted frown, Ao Bing continued, though he stayed a safer distance in reference to the first time he got too close to you. “What's keeping you, hun?”
You flicked your wrist, imagining droplets of pain flying away as water would, before you decided to respond. “Sorry, kid.” You adjusted your jacket and tapped the tip of your boot against the ground, “Daddy's money can't get you everything you want.”
The sound of your boots hitting the floor as you walked off towards a dark away filled the air, “Don't worry, this'll fade like that bruise I gave you.” You peeked back to see Ao Bing instinctively raise his hand to the bruise on his jaw, purple and filthy.
“See you later, city boy!” With a sly grin and a sharp wink, you disappeared as if one with the shadows, like you did every time Ao Bing was close enough to catch you.
That same mix of irritation and joy filled him up better than his cigarettes ever could, leaving Ao Bing with a silent giddiness as he returned to his car.
He couldn't catch you this time, but nothing has ever truly evaded a dragon's hunt no matter how prolonged.
Maybe next time, Ao Bing will have you.
Hope you enjoyed this request! This was a fun one to do. I'm sorry you've had to wait so long for it, so I hope it was a nice read!
